(Illustrated in Steward, Pet. of U.S.). Body shown as a bulging ladder, topped by a circular head with rays. Eyes shown as two dots outlined by gogglelike apparatus (bisected oval). Curious bulb figure above suggests root of some kind. Components are a central vertical bisecting an irregular oval & continuing a little further above, where two wavy appendages branch out. Short rays or branches or rootlets are attached to the central bulb below, at irregular intervals."

Irregular curviliniear patterns disginguished by series of parallel diagonals suggesting fins of vertebrae. Compare with carved 'fish' in Portland Art Museum from Sauvios Island.

Unusual body or appendages or, perhaps, whiskers, appear as three parallel lines bordered on either side by two wavy lines.

Meyers 7/10/2003 From "Descriptive Catalogue of Petroglyph Prints for the University of Washington, from The Dalles Dam Resevoir, 1956." by Mark Hedden, in Archaeology Archive: A small round head some distance to the left of the "Watermonster" though on the same face of rock. Eyes are shown as dots enclosed by an outline which looks very much like a pair of goggles, with straight sides along the inner edges. This design also appears elsewhere as a characteristic treatment of the eyes. An unusual feature of this head is a long snake tail or body which winds above. Two minor offshoots or appendages diverge on either side of the snake tail just before it joins the head. (compare with Pe 50)
