Obverse: head facing right. Has an eye, a nose, and a mouth. Collar line and figure's right shoulder are visible. Some letters ? just to the left of the figure's head. Reverse: unreadable.

Tool with iron blade attached at a slight angle to a long, hand-carved wooden handle circular in cross-section. The blade has somewhat flared sides and a straight lower edge. The upper edge has a convex curve near the handle followed by a concave curve, creating a wave pattern. The blade is bent around the handle to hold it in place, but has come loose. The blade is rusty.

Wooden pole that flares slightly before tapering to a long, triangular point at both ends. One end is capped with an iron sleeve.

Coin, round, with a four-sided hole at the centre, a rim around the outer edge and a centre hole. The obverse has four characters, and the reverse has two characters. Xianfeng tongbao (top-bottom-right-left) in formal style Chinese characters on obverse; boo jyi left-right (mintmark) in Manchu on reverse. Rims not smoothed; rim pits.

Tool with leaf-shaped iron blade, the end of which is bent upwards and then wrapped around a short, round handle. The part attached to the handle is partially broken and rusty.

The figure is composed of four iron pieces joined together with screws: the body (part a), the head, the right leg, the left leg (parts b-d). The crane has been painted black, and the top of the crane's head has been painted red.

Bowl made from planks of wood held around a circular base made from larger wooden planks with an iron band around the base and thick metal wire near the rim. An iron wire is looped through two holes in the side of the bowl.

Mask with heavy black eyebrows, red nostrils and lips, a red teardrop shape on each cheek with a curved line extending from the tip of the teardrop shape around three black gill-like elements beside the mouth. The mouth is open with two rows of teeth showing. The chin is slightly pointed and the brow is furrowed. The remainder of the face is painted white.

Block of wood carved to simulate very small shoe, and extended in "shoe-horn" shape to provide actual foot support. All concealed under embroidered silk cover for false shoe, with tall cotton cuff attached. Fake shoe: leather sole, wedge heel; floral motifs, yellow, orange, pink, on turquoise ground; upper: floral motifs - gold, turquoise on red ground, red and gold braid edging. Cuff: at front, one blue, one black cotton rectangle, with ecru loop attached, balance ecru cotton. Loops may have served to hold cord to keep cuff in place around foot. Pair.
