There is red fibre cording wrapped around the tip of the sheath and the other end of the sheath in a knotted square sequence. Blue fibre cording is wrapped around the middle of the sheath in the same manner. The horn guard has jagged grooves around its edges. There is a natural coloured fibre cord attached to the horn guard.

The handle grip is wrapped with tightly woven metal links and secured with overlaying wire. The base of the blade has a row of brass inlay dots extending towards the point; where the dots end, a swirl pattern cut through the steel begins. One edge of the blade tapers three times before reaching the point.

The end of the handle is a reddish wood, rounded and carved with one side pointed up and one pointed down. The rest of the handle is made of silver bands wrapped with a thin fibre and coloured black. The base of the blade flares out and is decorated with barbs. The blade has two parallel lines running its length and an old yellowed coat of varnish.
