Both the lid and the base are glazed with dark grey and blue-grey triangular and leaf patterns bordered by lines on a light blue-grey ground. There is a small peak at the centre of the lid. The glaze is iron-speckled; the foot rim and base are unglazed, and there is a pontil mark on base; the box is glazed inside, and the lid is not.
