Necklace3274/19

Shell disc beads cut from a variety of shells, polished, drilled and strung on pandanus leaf twine. The beads are strung across in two rows, alternating between larger pinkish beads, and then small loops of alternating white and black beads. The fibre comes together to create a plaited tie on each end.

Small pouch of plaited pandanus fibre. Rectangular in shape and tightly woven in two patterns, with a larger weave across the bottom inch. The flap and rim of the opening are decorated with angled fringe. Two thin plaited cords extend out on either side of the flap to form a short strap.
