Headdress with oval shape as veiwed from top and sea lion whiskers attached to the bent stem (?) frame with the tallest whisker tip forming a peak at the centre. The top is covered in light brown cotton fabric with a piece of rounded leather at the back of the top, and the bottom half is reinforced with leather. There are two rectangles of purple ridged fabric attached to either side of the front.

Pair of shoes and one tie. Leather sole, raised wooden heel (2" h.) painted green. Uppers: metallic thread and twisted cord braid appliqued 4 1/2" either side of toe, 1 1/4" deep, enclosing woven raffia applique. Colours: deep pink, gold, and black. Braid appliqued around top of uppers, and twisted and appliqued down centre of toe. Colours: pale green and beige. At heel: black cotton extension, appliqued 4 3/4" above uppers 4 3/4" w. All on black ground. Black cotton loop on either side, attached to uppers where extension joins. Cotton lining. Padded cotton insole. Separate red tie (part c). (Other tie is missing.)

On the sides are circles of coiled wire with domed brass ornaments at the centre, domed brass ornaments at the shoe edge, and on a fabric flap on the heel. On the pointed tongue are domed brass ornaments, an orange and green pompom and a dark pink pompom. On the toe is attached a grey silk (?) thread tassel. Just above the sole is a layer of blue fabric. Cotton lining and insole. Off-white fabric edging.

On the sides are three circles of coiled wire with domed brass ornaments at the centre, four domed brass ornaments, and on a fabric flap on the heel. On the pointed tongue is one domed brass ornament, an orange and green pompom and a blue pompom. On the toe is attached a grey silk (?) thread tassel. Just above the sole is a layer of blue fabric. Cotton lining and insole. Purple fabric edging.

Pair of Cantonese opera shoes, the leather sole shaped to simulate very small shoe, with wooden "shoe-horn" attached at heel to provide actual foot support, hidden under silk upper and attached cotton cuff. Upper: scroll design, silver sequins on white ground edged with black cord all on red ground, with scattered purple sequins. The off-white cotton cuffs each have an off-white cotton rectangle at the front with a loop attached on either side near the top on part a, and two loops at the top on part b. Balance of cuff, ecru cotton. Loops may have served to hold cord to keep cuff in place around foot. Cotton insole.

A book (part a) and a feather (part b). The book (part a) has a brown cover and a title of 'W'iigyet's Journey' in black on the front. The pages are white with black lettering and artwork in red and black. A few pages have 'pop-up' artwork. Sections include the following: 'Introduction', 'W'ii Gyet's First Home', 'Feast of the Sun for The Creatures of the Forest', and 'Acknowledgements'. The book is signed and dated on the last page: 'Limited Edition of 10 / W'ii Gyet's Journey / August 2002 / Author / Artist Doreen Jensen / Collaborator / Paper Engineer cindy chan piper / Date December 2002 Edition No. 10'. The dark grey feather (part b) is attached to a twisted cedar bark cord and acts as a bookmark.

Blue three piece hoop belt (part a-c) with embroidery. The rectangular pieces are curved and fit together. Part (a) has leather tabs folded back on both ends. Part (b) has two straight ends. Part (c) has one leather tab folded back and one wooden tab. The fabric is fixed over a wooden centre. The front has prunus, peony, double gourd, flute, fan and scroll motifs on a royal blue ground. The back lining is royal blue cotton.
