Shoes2615/13 a-b

Pair of brown leather shoes stitched with heavy corded fibre. Shoes are sharply upturned at the toe, with an attached brown leather fan tassel at the end. Top of shoes have a thin band of leather which doubles back and knots at the top of the foot. Three separate pieces of leather are nailed to the bottom of each shoe, forming the sole.

Pair of men’s leather sandals (part a-b). The sandals have a full back backs and a tongue piece attached by leather thongs to the sides. The tongue piece is red with an upper green stripe and five incised metal rings. The toe strap is pulled through a hole and threaded back through the tongue piece. The sandals are have black rubber tire soles and are held together with metal nails.
