Wooden, carved, thunderbird mask with a short curved beak and circular cutout ‘horns’ attached to the head. The beak is hinged with pieces of leather on either side; now nailed shut. The beak and outer eye area are painted blue with red edging on the nose and mouth. The eyes are white with wood and red paint outline; brow is black. The inside is hollow. The mask is painted blue, red, black and white with Northwest Coast stylized designs.

Wolf Headdress1529/1

Carved alder wood headdress with attached wolf skin. Wood is stained and details on ears and mouth are painted red and black. Nose is blue and red; eyes, brows, and other details are in black. The skin is attached to forehead and goes down approximately 1 metre.

Rectangular basket with hinged lid and a handle that crosses from one hinge to the other side opposite the other hinge. Three leather loops go through front of basket and two strips of leather hand from outside of lid at front centre. The lid is domed. Decoration of walls and lid with red, white, and black cherry bark in a geometric pattern.

Necklace with twelve staggered large and small brown-coloured square leather pendants, and one larger central pendant, attached to braided red-coloured cording. The central pendant has a long, narrow piece that attaches to a sphere-shaped ball, and its surface is decorated with braided leather strands around the middle.

Ghost MaskEdz1681

A flat grey ghost mask. The black horns have a tear-drop shape with a spiked swirl pattern. At the centre of the forehead, there is a red bulbous-shape which extends into the nose. The dark green ears have a vertical scroll-like shape. The circular cut-out eyes have owl-like red eyebrows. The nose is slightly cut out with red nostrils. The red cut-out mouth has five white teeth with a fang at each side, all of which are along the upper lip line. The red beard has an alternating pattern of orange-brown and red leaf-shapes with points at each end. There is red string tied at the back.
