Silver napkin ring. Engraved animal (whale, or sea mammal?) design covers the outer surface, with cross-hatched background. The design is bordered at the top and bottom by a vertical, tightly packed linear design, all the way around. Engraved inscription on inside.

Bodice3569/1

Woven bodice with wide embroidered panel across upper section. At centre of panel is a column of four diamonds, filled with triangular patterns; differently patterned rows of chevrons extend from either side of central column. Column of concentric diamonds along left side of bodice; all patterns are done in red, white, and black. Two black fabric shoulder straps are stitched along top edge; bottom section of bodice consists of three plain pieces of black fabric. Upper section of bodice secures at the back with snap fasteners, leaving bottom section open and drapey.

Baby Carrier3591/1

Baby carrier made of hide stretched over a wood frame; long sides are rounded, short ends are straight. Wood frame consists of thick carved pieces and split branches; carved pieces make up top and bottom sections of frame, branches form sides. Carved wood pieces are secured with nails; branches bound with floral-patterned fabric. Hide is stitched around top rim of cradle and along short edges. Additional floral-patterned fabric is wrapped around the carved wood sections of the frame. Raised semi-circle extends from top edge, at head of cradle.

Raven Headdress3599/1

Raven headdress, or mask, with long cedar bark fringe. Emerging from the top of the head is a short cedar bark fringe, as well as black feathers and two attached wooden wing panels. Two additional upright wooden wing panels are attached at the back, and one horizontal panel. The panels are carved in relief and painted black, brown and dark red on a black background. The beak is black, and mouth is red. The lower part of the beak is hinged with strips of hide(?), nailed in place, and a thin grey plaited rope is attached to the inside of the lower beak, and hangs down with the long fringe. The eyes are black, outlined in red and black on a white ovoid background; the brow is black. The inside of the headdress is hollow and lined with yellow foam on the upper portion. Two thick plaited ropes are nailed to the top, at the back, to hold the mask on the wearer. Attached along the top ridge is a twisted and dyed cedar rope.

Necklace3596/9

Round beaded neck ring with small rectangular panel at front; mounted on cow leather. Main body of necklace consists of thirteen strands of glass and seed beads in encircling rows, becoming successively smaller in size towards centre. Rows are (from interior to exterior): dark blue, dark red, alternating yellow and black, alternating yellow and black, orange, dark blue, white, alternating red and black, white, dark blue, red, and alternating black and white. Beaded semi-circles, with plain metal charms, protrude from either side of neck ring. Panel at front of necklace is decorated with two columns, divided by a small piece of wood; done in orange, dark blue, white, light green, and dark red. Columns have a repeating diamond motif through the centre with inverted triangles on either side. Circular metal charms extend from either side of panel; long beaded fringe, tipped with cowrie shells, extends from bottom edge. Necklace secures at back with two hook clasps; additional metal charms decorate edges around clasps. (Beaded fringe has mostly detached from necklace.)

Round beaded neck ring with geometric design. Necklace consists of thirteen rows of encircling beads, becoming successively smaller in size towards centre; pattern across surface is of squares with thick lines in between. Borders are done in dark blue, red and white; squares done in dark blue, white, red, orange, and light green. Inner edges of necklace bordered with white and dark blue rows; outer rim bordered with yellow and red. Braided wires, strips of leather, and pieces of plastic are placed intermittently across neck ring to hold beads in place. Spaces between pieces of leather have vertical stripes patterns; done in green, red, white, dark, blue, and orange. Necklace has no opening.

Round beaded neck ring with small rectangular panel at front. Necklace consists of six strands of glass beads in encircling rows, becoming successively smaller in size towards centre. Rows are (from interior to exterior): alternating dark blue and red, yellow, yellow, dark red, dark red, and alternating dark blue and white. Additional orange beaded row zigzags around three quarters of the necklace's outer edge; circular metal charms hang from every other point of zigzag. Rectangular panel at front is decorated with plain rows of beads and a triangular motif across the bottom half; two large diamond beads decorate top edge and middle of panel. Two crescent-shaped charms, attached to the panel with buttons, hang from bottom corners. Strips of leather placed intermittently across neck ring to hold beads in place. Necklace secures at back with two hook clasps.

Sandals3600/11 a-b

Pair of rubber sandals with V-shaped straps; straps threaded through cuts in insoles and nailed down. Soles are flat, rounded at toes and heel; centre of insole is dark brown, edges and sole are black. Straps are red leather and have patterned bands across surfaces. Pattern alternates between rectangles with red and orange stripes and checkers, and blue rectangles with repeating gold hourglass-like shapes. Section of strap holding tip of V to insole is plain leather; plain leather tie secured to V with white and red knob.

Dress3596/1

Long-sleeved woman's dress with a gathered skirt. Dress closes at neck with four silver buttons extending down bodice to waist. Front of dress consists of a panel with hemmed sides; stitching is done in a wavy line. Bottom edge of panel, along waistline, is decorated with a band of alternating circular and triangular beads; large silver button in centre. Band, with similar wavy stitching, circles front and sides of dress; back of dress, where gathered skirt secures to bodice, is exposed. Dress cuffs are trimmed with light pink cloth with blue flowers. Dress is red with bunches of pink and white flowers throughout; flowers have green-blue leaves and long stems.
