Mate Container3482/3

Small, gourd mate container with stainless steel decoration. Container is bright red-orange and spherical in shape. It has a raised, rounded lip, that slopes into a curved border. Deeply incised line between lip and border. Gourd base is covered in stainless steel, and has a flat, raised foot. Interior of container is rough, covered in dried pith.

Mate Straw3482/11

Short, stainless steel straw (bombilla) for mate. It has a flat rectangle-like top, that tapers downward slightly. Bottom edge of top is bordered with a raised band, with various shapes impressed into it. Impressions give band a rough appearance. Beyond band is an undecorated stem, that is bent at an angle towards the top. Bottom of straw is capped with a corkscrew-like attachment, allowing mate to enter stem. Corkscrew has a flat, sealed base.

Animal Puppet3492/1

Animal puppet head on a wooden pole. Head and mobile lower jaw are made of wood, curved ears are made of metal. The oval-shaped eyes, screwed onto either side of the face, are made of wood. The head and upper section of the pole, imitating a neck, have different coloured fur nailed to them. The face and lower jaw are white-grey, the ears are brown-red, and the neck is light brown-orange. Dark brown fur runs down the back of the neck and down the centre of the face. The muzzle of the rusa is painted grey-purple with black nostrils. The wooden eyes are painted black, with the centre front done in white. The mouth is lined with red leather, with a long, matching tongue sticking out from the lower jaw. The mobile lower jaw is operated with a green, plastic string. The string is threaded through both the upper and lower jaw, and then passes down the back and front of the pole. The string has a black handle at the end. Jaw joint consists of a metal hinge and white cloth bands.

The skeleton on the left is wearing a floor length silver dress with a tiered skirt. Five-petaled flowers are sculpted into the bottom edge of the skirt. The skeleton's hair is bright pink, and styled into an updo. The skeleton on the right is wearing a white shirt, as well as a black jacket, pants, and tie. The skeleton's hair is white, and covers its eyes. Both skeletons' heads are affixed to their bodies via thin, metal rods.
