Reverse: large ‘SC’; to left, monogram; to right, small ‘S’; like obverse, this is all contained within a circular punch, which is also approximately 1.5cm in diameter. Monogram corresponds to number 22 in Sear catalogue. This coin is an example of an earlier coin being countermarked; however, the details from the original coin have been lost, leaving only the countermarked areas.
