Cream-coloured and highly embroidered shirt. The collar, front and back torso panels and sleeves consist of cream-coloured mesh embroidered with white thread in a floral pattern. The shirt closes halfway down the front with three square, golden buttons. The button inside the collar is pearlescent and white. The right sleeve cuff also fastens with a square, golden button, and the left with an elongated spherical, gold button. A manufacturer’s tag (Tesoro's) is sewn to the inside back of the collar.

Book of the Qur’an, inscribed in naskh script inside the cover. The first few pages are highly coloured and decorative. Most other pages of script are bordered by a simple band of gold and blue, with most of the script in black and red ink. Chapter headers are painted with brightly coloured decorative bands. The cover has a flowered pattern painted(?) onto the outside; a flower patterned paper adhered to the inside covers. Pages are loosely bound with string, currently only attached in one place to the cover. (Part b is a soft fabric cover that is sewn in the shape of an envelope; in storage.)

Most children's clothing among Plateau peoples such as the Umatilla was simply a smaller version of adult garments. A great deal of time and energy was spent providing children with articles of clothing and accessories so that they could look their best on special occasions. This remarkable wool shirt decorated with beaded strips and adorned with metal beads and ermine strips reveals one family's devotion to their child.
Fabric umbrella cover (parasol set) that hangs over a wooden umbrella support (2967/50 a-b). Cover is conical in shape, bright pink at top with a small collared hole in centre. Two light pink embroidered ribbons hang from the seam. The body of the cover is light green, decorated with embroidered birds, flowers and foliage, as well as metallic fibre sashes, and a regular pattern of gold-toned studs. At the bottom hangs many tassels in pink, yellow, orange, tan and light green connected to each other by a decorative woven net.
