Rectangular vertical wall hanging heavily embroidered with elaborate designs. Border on three sides; undecorated frayed end. Background is neutral colour. Underside is lined with printed material, some stitches showing. Some spots near frayed end and some mirrors missing from border. Red edge frames black border containing yellow and orange rays, and mirrors which are followed by rows of open and closed chain stitch on neutral background. Inside are multi-coloured triangles as lower part of square, above which are alternating squares and bars surrounding three circles. Above are five decorated circles interspersed with triangular motifs.

White background; lined with same colour; all edges unfinished except face selvages. Rough basting on outside edge. Borders are: triangles with three branches; heart shapes bisected by red orange chain stitch; interior green border. Green frames a grid of twenty-five motifs. Every other motif is a flower shape with a centred mirror and two perched parrots. Alternating motif is flower or abstract peacock with two perched, green parrots with light purple wings and yellow breasts.

Rectangular with eleven hanging pendants, all lined with brown. Edging and background is black except for far left brown pendant and rectangular edge. Upper three borders of rectangular portion are multi-coloured chevrons that are divided from mirrored border by undulating yellow twists filled with alternating red and green. Inside are two large, metal-edged mirrors, motifs in blue alternating with three fan shapes, and mirrors. Eleven mirrored pendants have various patterns.

Rectangle with seven pentagonal leaves attached to lower long edge; background white; lined with light brown; bound in grey; tapes lined in light brown hang from top; background and binding of leaves are in variegated colours; lined in light brown or grey print; rectangle embroidered centrally with horizontal pattern of geometric purple diamonds, shading into orange with spaced round mirrors; surrounded by border of round mirrors, blue checks, matching purple diamonds, and mirrors; edge pattern in multi-coloured triangles with three-prong top decorations and mirrors; patterns separated by six embroidered lines of orange and white, green and purple; leaves embroidered with stylized multi-coloured flowers, birds, and mirrors; floral-like, cloth tassels at each lower point. Embroidery is fishbone, cross, blanket, and chain stitches. Machine-sewn except for three hand-bound leaves. Tassels missing and binding frayed on two leaves. Embroidery stitches broken in diamond patterns. Some mirrors missing. Lining stained.

Red background on neutral lining; top portion of hanging is a long narrow rectangle edged in black with three decorative borders including one with mirrors. Alternating abstract peacock and parrot motifs along middle of top rectangle. Twenty-nine leaves hang from top, each with slightly differing dimensions; red or black binding on contrasting red or black background. Each leaf is unique but motifs are related. Some repeats are: five with petal motifs divided by undulating coloured lines, three with abstract peacocks; six pairs of centre-facing parrots. One cracked mirror in top border. Darning around some mirrors.

Five-sided textile with five loops sewn to patched and printed backing with white thread. Machine-sewn edging on both sides is grey. Front background is all yellow with white drops and brown, red, and green triangles. Brown stitching frames; silver metallic band occurs on both sides. Flowers and leaves with mirrors are in next band which is followed by another metallic band. Centre has three equal-sized human figures with two lions, two rats, and accompanying symbols and mirrors.

Main outside border has alternating yellow and white circles with red centres and alternating blue and blue green spots. Centre area inside diamond-shaped border is red with motif in repeating half-drops. Head is mirror which is edged in orange flanked by white-topped black wings, then symmetrical pairs of white-tipped yellow green and orange wings. End of body is black with three yellow tail feathers. Centre has white flower-like motif with white diamond shaped petals. This motif is repeated by itself with variations at each end of the piece. Background is red. Piece is lined with stitching showing through.

Power BoardNb3.1354

A long rectangular board made of dark brown-coloured cedar in an openwork design tapering from the widest end. Perforations with coloured, bevelled edges are spaced down the board's length. Yellow-brown openings are three pairs of varying sized elongated ovals, and two ovals, each with a flaring extended triangle shape out one side. These two are arranged lengthwise on the board between pairs of ovals. Last element is recessed red ovoid with perforated eye with dark brown pupil in centre. Shining, transparent flakes scattered randomly over board's surface, some of which are loose. Shining transparent flakes scattered randomly over board's surface, some of which are loose. Looped through to the back at the corners are pairs of wires. One pair holds on a short carved wood tube while another pair at the other end holds on a short carved wooden stick.
