The folded hat is light brown and rectangular with a rounded top piece curling down on either side. The hat has a light brown centre panel which folds inwards on both sides. Embroidered on the centre panel are two pink peonies with green leaves and gold swirls and a pink and red bat. On the inside of both side folds is a red peony with green leaves and gold swirls. The rounded top piece has pink and red peonies with green leaves and gold swirls. The curled ends have a small purple flower and an attached maroon tassel. The designs on the back of the hat mimic those on the front. There are pink and red peonies, green leaves, gold swirls and small purple flowers. On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard. Two ecru ties are attached.

'Blade' tapers to a flat rounded point and is perpendicular to the human figure.

The space in between has a ridge on either side with a heart-shaped face at the bottom end. Designs emphasized with lime.

Figures are decorated with hour-glass shapes and crescent-shaped lines. Designs emphasized with lime. Faces have circular eyes, a long nose, and a wide mouth. 'Blade' tapers to a flat rounded point.

Brown-black wood piece that has a handle in the form of a crouching human figure. Spiral decoration at the junction of the 'blade' and the handle. Carved designs are filled in with white. Face has small circular eyes, a long nose, and a wide smile. 'Blade' tapers to a flat rounded point.

Brown wood double reed whistle made of two single double reed whistles of equal length bound together by grey twine. Both pieces are rectangular in cross section and come to a tapering end and are bound in twine around near the smaller end. While the wider end is solid on each piece, there are two hollows (four in total) through the tapering end where there are two taper cut rectangular holes (four in total) nearby on opposite sides. On each piece one taper cut rectangular hole is lower than its opposite due to a horizontal graphite bar inlaid just above. On each side, one piece shows the graphite inlay while the other piece shows the higher taper cut rectangular hole. Sealed with pitch.
