Interior has two cranes in flight and three cranes on a pine tree branch. All in gold on black ground with mother of pearl inlaid into knot on branch. Three characters in gold on lower left of interior.
Wooden, circular tambourine with a skin ? cover and five sections of metal discs. The wooden frame is inlaid with square, diagonal and triangular pieces of mother-of-pearl and horn to form a geometric pattern. The metal discs are all similar with the exception of one set that has jagged edges.

Whistling bird ceramic. Smoke painted in two tones with engraved design. Double-bird sculpture with small square shell inlay on the chest of each bird. Impressed circles across the chests of the birds, extending back down the wings, as well as in the centre on back. Each head has large round eyeholes, two small holes in the back of each head, and a single hole in the centre of the back. The base has the artist's engraved signature (and handwritten note by collector).
