The handle is carved with a face that has circular eyes surrounded by a downward and outward pointed elongated tear drop shape with thick brows above that extend into the long thin nose with very wide nostrils and a downturned mouth. A carved grooved circle in circle is at either top side.

The bowl of the spoon is semi-translucent while the handle is dark brown.
