The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

Sawn nephrite cobble frag; cream-brown color; exhibits 5 u-shaped saw grooves on longitudinal cobble axis; 3 blank section breaks (3 celt tool blanks removed); remnant cortex faces exhibit grinding striations; lateral fracture at one end; two saw grooves show saw "stepping" toward upper cortex zone of grooves
Lenticular cobble; exhibits ground facet toward edge of one surface; not polished; light pecking on small area of ground surface
Nephrite celt- refurbished; asymetrically shaped; whitish brown color; both faces ground and polished; rounded poll-one side of poll heavily diagonally beveled; one rounded straight side; bifacially beveled bit end; diagonal snap fracture; one face of bit end damaged (re-ground on damaged area); Von Krogh Type II Adze
Adze appears to have been derived from lenticular cobble; slightly diagonal longitudinal break/split from poll to bit; portions of all in tact surfaces and single side completely ground and polished; rounded poll end-also exhibits battering (prob from use); in tact side is excurvate and slightly rounded; pian0-convex x-section, one surface relatively falt; bifacially beveled more invasively than opposite beveled side; 29.19mm abd 5.32mm respectively; bit edge is straight and estimated 35 mm wise unbroken specimen; thermal alteration absent; Von Krogh Type II
End struck
Rectangular blank; two lightly ground longitudinal edges; shorter edges at ends unground; both faces ground; slight beveling at end of one surface (bit end?)--opposite end of same surface also exhibits beveling but more abrupt/less invasive (poll end?)
Probable celt frag; two surfaces ground and polished; one surface exhibits broad longitudinal beveling(faceted--possibly top/bottom surface and lateral margin of side surface of tool; one surface is a partial rounded poll; likely broken from use
Unifacially beveled nephrite tool; both surfaces completely ground and polishedl one straight side, sawn from opposite surfaces and subsequently purposefully snapped; curvilinear uni-beveled bit end; straight, ground/round poll; damage at intersection of poll and curvilinear margins; probably small adze; Von Frogh Type II
Longitudinal celt frag (lateral snap), includes portions of tool side and bit; 2 faces (one sawn, one primary flake cortex) ground and polished; bit end not beveled; battering and crushing on bit end; piano-convex x-section
large sewn split nephrite boulder, cream green color; 3 u-shaped saw grooves on longitudinal boulder (2 blank sections removed); transverse fracture at one end; central saw groove contains possible start of another saw groove
