Round coin with denticles around edge. One face has a central design of a canoe with people in it. The words, "BRITISH COLUMBIA," are above the design, "NOOTKA DOLLAR" and "CURRENCY VALUE $1.00 EXPIRES MAY 31, 1977," are below the design, the year, "1977," is to the right, and the name, "Joseph Smith," is to the left. The other face has a central male bust wearing a hat and neck ring. The years, "c1760" and "c1825," are to either side of the head and the name, "MAQUINNA" (a Nuu-chah-nulth chief), is below the bust.

Small, dagger-like knife (a) with sheath (b). Both handle and the end of the sheath have a notched design and three holes. Welded and forged steel, carved wood. Sheath made in two pieces and bound together by bands of sheet nickel. Simple curved handle with plain ferrule.

Belt3559/40

Scaled silver-coloured metal belt with a hook clasp. Scale decorations are done in columns, with three scales per column; designs on scales alternate between fruit and floral motifs. All designs are raised; top and bottom edges of columns are bordered with rows of dots. Either end of the belt has a large irregularly-shaped buckle with a mix of engraved and raised decoration. Engravings are curvilinear and floral designs; raised decorations are floral motifs. Interior of belt is lined with black velvet-like fabric.
