Ogura nazorae hyakunin isshu, Suō no Naishi, Shirai Gonpachi1080/19

Ōban nishiki-e (大判錦絵). Print depicting a samurai figure, Shirai Gonpachi (白井権八), played by the Kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjūro (市川團十郎) holding a scroll of tehai-sho (手配書; arrest instructions) with a dog at the figure's feet that has a piece of crumpled paper in its mouth. The figure and dog are set against a light blue background with figures and a moon in the distance. The name Shirai Gonpachi (白井権八) appears in a rectangular on a red background to his left. To the side of the figure is a butterfly against a patterned grey and black background. The title of the series, “Ogura nazorae hyakunin isshu (小倉擬百人一首) appears, on a pink background, in the top right corner. To the left of it is a black and white female figure, with a poem by Suō no Naishi written above and left of her. The writing on a green background in the top left corner is a legend by Ryūkatei Tanekazu. A signature 応需豊国画 (Ōju Toyokuni ga), and block cutter’s mark, 彫工竹 (Horikō take) appear in a small rectangular on a yellow background at the bottom left.

Taira no shigemori ouchi ni hebi wo tsukamu795/18

Print called, "Taira no Shigemori holding a snake". Two men, one on the steps and one kneeling in front. The man on the steps is wearing clothing with a purple diamond pattern, and is looking down at the man kneeling in front of him who is wearing clothing that is white and blue. The steps are brown and there are seven of them with a white building behind. A tree is in front of the steps in the lower right with petals falling from the pink blossoms. A hill with three green trees is behind on the left side. In the lower right corner, there is a vertically rectangular, red seal. Along the sides are pink and brown characters. The print is horizontally rectangular.

Black written characters along the top. In the upper right corner, there is a vertically rectangular, red seal. In the lower left, there is a vertically rectangular, black seal. In the lower right corner, there are five seals, three of which are black circles, one of which is a vertically rectangular, yellow seal, and the other one of which is a vertically rectangular, red and yellow seal. Bark Painting1081/1

Bark painting of a large fish, in side view, facing viewer's left. The head and tail are mainly white; the body is patterned in yellow, black, and red stripes and dots. Inscription on reverse in black ink reads "Namadbara." The bark has minor warping.
