Smaller individual 5 petalled (m-shaped) white flowers with white dots at centre surrounded by a brown ring. All on a brown ground. Sample at lower left is of white blooms on a blue ground. The blooms consist of numerous small and larger comma-like petals expanding out from centre.

There is a dot at centre and at the beginning of each petal. All on a dark green ground. Yellowish stain on mounting paper behind 948.

Smaller clover-like shapes between. All on a brown/yellow ground. Sample at bottom right has an overall pattern of leaves, curving vines and grape-like clusters of fruit or flowers, all in yellow on a black ground.

Edges brittle and cracked with some pieces missing. Some dark brown to black blotches and same colour along some edges. Wrinkled, uneven surface from smoothing and stretching. Scented.

Uneven colouring creates darkened brown areas; crinkled in appearance and areas on both are wrinkled from smoothing and stretching. Sample on right has small Japanese characters in black, upper right. Sample on left is double-stamped(?) in black Japanese characters on all four corners, front and back. Corners smudged except for top right.
