Very long, horizontal scroll with line drawing in ink (baimiao 白描) of figures in an ocean scene, on brown paper. This handscroll depicts several Luohan crossing the sea. Men, women, sea creatures, dragons, demons and Buddha emerge from the waves and whitecaps of the continuous drawing. Some figures are richly dressed, others ragged and emaciated, carrying a variety of objects from fishing lines to bottles. The far right of the drawing takes place on land, showing a robed man surrounded by a tiger, warrior and demons. Red seals are stamped at each end of the painting. The work is mounted on silk fronted paper in cream colour, edged in dark yellow. A panel of mottled orange sits on the far right of the painting as well as a small panel of decorative, protective fabric on the underside. Wooden dowels are attached at each end of the piece, and a blue string with a jade button is sewn to the right dowel. The artist’s signature appears at the end of the scroll, and there is another square seal with four characters following these small seals, but it is not clear. Two more seals are in the lower left corner.
Long, vertical scroll with an ink painting of a nature scene. On brown paper are painted several trees standing at various elevations on the side of mountain, the peak of which can be seen in the distance at the top of the scroll. Amongst the trees are small houses and structures. An elderly man walks along a path at the bottom left of the picture. Five lines of Chinese script are at the top left, as well as two red stamps, with several red stamps also located on the bottom left. The painting is mounted on a larger piece of silk fronted paper in a light cream colour. A small strip of wood lines the top of the work, with a silk hanging string attached and a large decorative wooden dowel is attached at bottom. On the rear top right is a strip of tape with painted Chinese characters.
Painted bark cloth. Rectangular piece of pounded bark cloth with a painting of a large blue-green bird with a yellow worm in its beak, standing on a leafy outcropping. Opposite, facing the bird, is a lizard painted yellow, blue and brown with large pointed teeth in its open mouth and spikes down its back. It clings to a branch with outstretched legs, its tail curving up behind it. Between the bird and lizard is a thin yellow snake. The back of the bark cloth shows black marks from the painting on the front.

Her smiling face and lower legs are in colour, while her torso and upper legs are surrounded by a rectangular black & white, X-ray type image overlaying the colour picture. Inside the rectangle she is wearing a neat white buttoned jacket that reaches to her knees, hands clasped together in front. Seen in the background of the piece behind the little girl’s head is a window showing the exterior slats of a building. On the sides of the photo print are images of cellulose film notches.
