Bobbin Threader1350/1 a-f

Brown wooden bobbin winder or threader resembles a small tabletop spinning wheel. The wheel, which is mounted on the right hand side of an oblong box, is connected with twine (original missing) to a fitting mounted on the left hand side of the box; small handle mounted on the outside rim of the wheel. An arm with a detachable rotary device is attached on the left hand side and can be folded out of the way when not in use. There is a small storage drawer in the box.

Square oak box with a front panel that slides upwards to reveal six drawers with brass pulls; drawers are filled with ivory mahjong pieces. Nailed to the outside of the box are brass corners, bat-shaped brass pieces, a circular brass piece on the sliding panel, and a top piece with two handles--brass is decoratively engraved with dotted and linear patterning, as well as several characters. Part c is a red mahjong instruction booklet. There are 289 parts (a-zzzzz, ab-gk) in all.

Wooden recurve cable-backed bow. Three pieces bound together with skin and braided fibre cords. A thick braided band of fibre cords runs the length of the bow on the outside of the curve. Bowstring is made of twined fibre cords.
