One olive green alcohol bottle with round base and champagne finish. Base features tall kick-up. Lack of seam molds on bottle. Symmetry of base and irregularity at shoulder indicates bottle may have been manufactured with dip mold. Irregular lines on surface of bottle neck. Bubbles present and small chips in surface of glass. Dried substance present on neck/finish of bottle and inside bottle. J. Dougherty 03/22/2010

AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Bottle Type: Whiskey/Liquor Date Range: 1810 to 1890 Neck Finish: Lipping Tool Color: Brown Decoration: Paper One olive green glass liquor bottle with round base and straight brandy or wine finish. The bottle has a three part dip mold with a circular seam mold at the shoulder and two seams extending up to the collar. Some bubbles are present in the glass above and below the shoulder seam. There are a few abrasions on the outside of the bottle. Clay like accretion on collar and neck. J. Dougherty 02/22/2010

One olive green bottle with round base and blob finish. Lack of mold seams and presence of horizontal lines on body indicative of turn in mold manufacture. Presence of blob finish with remnant of wire closure indicative of bottle containing carbonated beverage such as champagne, soda or mineral water. Dried substance present inside and outside of bottle. Remnant of previous sealing material, probably tin, and corroded metal on finish. Maker's Mark empressed on bottom: JL & Co LTD C 676 Outside surface has some texture, likely irregularity caused during manufacture. Scratches and impressions on outside of glass. One olive green glass bottle with round base and finish similar to mineral finish, except less tapered and with no lip ridge. Lack of mold seams and horizontal lines indicative of turn in mold manufacture. There are a few Bubbles present in the glass. There is a circular chip just above base.
