Shadow puppet of the character Hadschiewad, made of semi-transparent animal skin and a watery paint. The bearded man wears a small tri-coloured hat and loose clothing, one hand held to his sharp nose. The other arm falls to the side, separate from the puppet and attached by a string tie to create movement, as are the legs. The skin of the object is punctured to show lines in the clothing.

Shadow puppet of the hunchback character Bekeruhi, made of semi-transparent animal skin and a watery paint. The man wears a tall rounded hat with brim, striped in green, blue, yellow and red, as well as an open jacket above a green shirt, wide legged dark pants and red shoes. His face has a long pointed nose, prominent round chin, open mouth and large downturned eye. The hump on his back is prominent. The legs below the knees are separate from the body and attached with small string ties in order to create movement. The skin of the object is punctured to delineate lines in the clothing and divisions between his limbs.

Shadow Puppet3084/3

Puppet depicting a turtle, or tortoise, with a lit candle sitting on its back. The turtle has a thick shell in orange, brown and green with its neck and head protruding from the front. Its face has a large dark eye and rounded snout. Four legs hang from the bottom of the shell, each with three claws. The legs are attached to the puppet by plastic ties, allowing them to move freely. The skin of the object is punctured to form linear decorations.

Shadow puppet of the character Tuzsuz Deli Bekir, made of semi-transparent animal skin and a watery paint. Puppet is a bearded man with a sword at his hip. He is clothed in loose garments, green and blue, with a small orange turban on his head. The skin is punctured to delineate lines in the clothing and divisions between limbs. The legs of the puppet are separate from the torso to create movement, with the pieces attached to each other by a thin string tie.

Large pottery sherd attached to a wooden plinth. Sherd appears to have been from the shoulder of a vessel. Bottom portion is slightly curved, painted with 4 designs of concentric circles. The neck of the pot flares outward and is painted with a row of three concentric circles bordered by a thick line. On the back of the piece at top are three thin black lines. All edges of the object are broken.

Large pottery sherd attached to a wooden plinth. Piece is roughly rectangular in shape, the proper right side containing a large point at centre edge that flares slightly away from the left side of the piece. Decoration is painted on the exterior, with concentric circles at top proper left and smaller circles bordered by a thick line at right. All edges of the object are broken.

Small ceramic sherd with tin glaze decoration. Top is covered in a shiny light yellow-brown base colour with remnants of light green lines and incised decoration. Underside is shaped like the foot of a vessel, and has areas of clear glaze. All edges of the object are broken.

Small clay jug. A short, tube-like neck sits at top centre. Body is barrel shaped: round, longer in width than depth. Two groups of brown painted lines encircle the body. Both ends of the vessel have a small, pointed protrusion at midpoint, surrounded by a series of painted concentric circles.

Small orange ceramic jug of unglazed earthenware. Body is globular with a pointed base. A tall, thin neck opens into a long spout-shaped mouth, and a loop handle is attached from lower rim to shoulder. Shoulder, neck and handle are decorated with incised lines, zig zags and dots.

Small ceramic wine jug (oinochoe), wheel-turned. Body is globular, with a tall neck and trefoil mouth, and a vertical loop handle attached at back of neck. Base is flat, with a low foot. Vessel has been painted to represent a bird, with a round eye on either side of the spout, and stylized feathers below the neck at front. Two line and dot motifs are painted to either side of the feathers, and a tail is painted below the striped handle.
