Clay figure of a female with offering bowl. The head is large, flat at back, with round eyes, a protruding nose with thick ring, and an open mouth showing several square teeth. The left ear is large and sits low on the head. The right ear is missing. A hat with a thick brim sits on the forehead, surrounding a hole in the head that leads to the hollow interior of the figure. Shoulders are wide, with small, widely placed breasts protruding from the chest. The right arm curves, hand placed on chest. The left hand holds the offering bowl, balanced on the leg. The figure wears a long skirt with feet emerging from the bottom. Traces of vertical black and white decorative lines are still visible on the skirt. Figure has been broken in half at the chest/mid-back and glued back together. The left arm has been broken off and glued back on.
Clay whistle in the form of a head, with a separate clay alligator headdress (part b). The head features a face with large protruding nose and lips, mouth slightly open. They eyes are incised slits. The centre of the face is painted black. The head is hollow, with a large rectangular whistle hole carved in the back. The alligator headdress (part b) shows a wide face with protruding eyes, narrowing to a slender snout holding two rows of prominent teeth. On its head the alligator has an orb surrounded by feathers(?). The underside of the headdress is hollowed into a smooth half sphere. A small hole pierces the clay from underside to centre of forehead on the front. The head has breaks at the top and sides. The headdress has had the left side detached and repaired with glue.
Clay figure of a seated woman holding a rattle. The head is large, flat at the back. Eyes are emphasized by a black circular painted design, the nose protrudes and holds a thick ring, and the mouth shows several square teeth. Long ears have large earrings in the lobes. The woman wears a hat with a thick brim, surrounding a hole in the top of the head that leads to the hollow interior of the figure. The neck is decorated with several lines of white dots. Shoulders are wide, with the left arm curved and resting on the stomach, the right holding out a small rattle. Breasts protrude from the chest. The skirt is decorated with painted squiggles and triangles in white and yellow. Legs are folded under the body, one emerging from the bottom of the skirt and curving to the side.
Clay bowl with wide mouth and a neck that flows at an outward angle away from the rim. The shoulder is low and cuts sharply in toward the round, bulbous base. The interior of the pot mimics the exterior. The rim is painted a dark brown and orange-brown, with a pattern of thin brown lines in geometric forms on a cream background encircling the pot’s shoulder. The bottom is decorated with a series of criss-crossing lines and V-shapes in brown, rust and orange. The surface is shiny.
Clay bowl with wide flaring mouth and straight sides that incline sharply to a round base. The interior is decorated with thick lines of white and rust, and thin lines of brown and rust in V-shapes and a central X-shape. The finish is matte. The exterior is painted with small, delicate geometric designs in brown and rust, over a light brown base colour. Lines of brown and red-brown encircle the rim. The outer surface is shiny.
Clay "joni chomo" portrait pot. The mouth of the pot is small with a slightly flared rim. Below is a small but wide face with protruding nose, cheeks, ears and chin. The eyes are painted oblongs with a small pupil. The mouth is a small incised line emphasized by brown paint. The back of the head is painted brown. The face, ears and body to the shoulder are covered in large open patterns of dark brown lines with rust coloured accents, on a light brown base. The area below the shoulder is undecorated, but has large spots of black carbonization.
Clay "joni chomo" portrait pot. The mouth is wide, with a thin and slightly flaring rim. The interior is painted black. A face is situated on the neck with protruding nose, cheeks and chin. The eyes are painted oblongs with a small pupil. The mouth is a carved line emphasized by brown paint. The ears are brown and protrude, and the back of the head is painted brown. The face, as well as the pot’s body to the shoulder, are covered in patterns of dark brown lines with rust coloured accents, on a light yellow base. Beneath the shoulder to the foot the pot is rust in colour with large areas of black. The base is slightly concave.
Wooden mask has a broad, somewhat flat face, with a receding chin that is topped by a large protruding lower lip painted red. The nose is large and narrow, accented with red paint, and bridge extending to top of mask. The eyes are small and round with viewing holes bored through the wood. The face is bordered by a carved line running from brow, around cheeks to lips, from which the sides of the mask drop sharply away. The head is covered by a black hat or hair. The interior of the mask is slightly concave. Two small holes are bored through the upper sides of the mask and are fitted with a thin brown string.
Clay bowl with wide mouth and rounded sides that incline sharply to a small round base. The interior is decorated with white and brown lines of varying widths in linear patterns, on top of a red slip base. The overall finish is matte. The exterior has a more intricate and smaller pattern of lines in varying widths and of a dark brown, on a light yellow background. The outer surface is shiny.
Clay bowl with wide round mouth and curved sides that recess to a small round base. The interior is painted in a matte finish and decorated sparsely with brown and white lines in patterns of large crosses and smaller knots. The exterior has a shiny finish over an intricate design of thin brown lines surrounded by thicker lines marking a larger and simpler pattern. Small shapes in orange further embellish the design.
