Bulbous jar with three rounded feet; feet are hollow; neck is wide and slightly tapered. Decoration on neck is two incised bands of yellow geometric shapes on red ground separated by a red and yellow band. There is one small, circular hole in the side of the jar at the shoulder; one foot has small ball of clay inside that rattles when moved.

Part of a set of five wooden dolls with round heads and round bodies. Part d is the second smallest of these dolls, has facial features painted in black, and has green and black painted clothing. The figure has a green flower painted on its front.

The base has a painted landscape with houses(?) and trees and a few Japanese characters. Part b has green and black painted features. The base has a picture of a human figure skiing in the mountains. Several Japanese characters are also on it. The base of both dolls have small holes in them.

The mid-section is wood with black, brown and red leaf designs and the bottom is black. Part b has black painted hair, and the top portion of the body is wood. The rest of the body is decorated with brown, gold, white, and red striped designs.

She is holding a red cylindrical object on her head. She is painted brown with blk hair and rosy cheeks with a red dot in the middle of her forehead. She is painted with a full-length garment wrapped around her upper body at an angle. The garment has multiple shades of red and is a checkered pattern.

Red gold and black human figure (part a) sitting cross-legged on a lotus flower--figure wears a headdress, flowing, open robes, and has both hands laid palm-up, one on top of the other, in her lap. Figure has a large rectangular hole on the back exposing the cavity within. Figure sits on a square red wooden base (part b)--faded paper glued to the front of base features an inscription that reads: "...commonly called The Goddess of Mercy...."
