On back of pole, indentations and pencil mark are present in the drawing of a whale.
Cantonese opera prop representing a mourning staff. Solid bamboo reed with frayed cloth wrapped around three-quarters of its length. The cloth is beige and brown. The part of the reed that is showing has been painted blue-green. It has a hole running through its diameter near the end through which a blue, twisted string is looped.
Decapitated head opera prop. Representation of a human head. Eyebrows are painted black, eyes are black and white, lips are red, and edge of throat is rimmed with red. A looped rod extends from the top of the head. It is wrapped with grey fibre. Black fibre is wrapped overtop of the grey fibre and hangs down at the sides. There is a hole on top of the head where the rod is attached.
