A shadow puppet of a male. Pale red, and pale purple skin. Black curly beard and moustache. Large curved bulbous nose. Gold teeth. Wearing a layered turban-type headdress. Wearing a frilly skirt with a black and white checkered pattern outlined in gold. Figure is on a wood stick. One moveable arm is attached separately with a stick attached to its palm and rivets at the joints.

Benevolent Spirit Mask1570/60 a-s

The main body of the mask (part a) is in the form of a caribou or reindeer with two attached antlers (parts b and c). The centre of the body of the mask has a circular face with cut out eyes, nostrils, and mouth with teeth, around which, on the outer of two protruding circles directly in front of it, are the other attached pieces. Part d: feather with fish at 12 o'clock position, part e: feather with knob, part f: feather with hand, part g: feather with knob, part h: feather with fish, part i: feather with knob, part j: feather with fish, part k: feather with leg, part l: feather with knob, part m: feather with knob, part n: feather with leg, part o: feather with knob, part p: feather with fish, part q: feather with knob, part r: feather with hand, and part s: feather with knob. (Note: going clockwise from d). The main mask is made of lightly coloured wood. The feathers are dark brownish-black. The antlers, and hand and leg pieces are reddish-brown. The fish are painted blue and red, and the knobs with a blue line around the middle.

Large trunk. Front feet carved as claws; front of trunk painted black. Elaborately carved detail on front of trunk, plants, flowers, vines, and a lion on each side of center. Key hole at center top. The lid is plain except for a black painted border, sides also plain with black border. Metal handles on each end. (The tunk is part a; part b is the key.)

Rod PuppetB822 a-c

Three-dimensional male humanoid puppet: head (part a) fits into body with shirt and skirt (part b), and a control rod (part c) with a long shaft that passes through the body and fits into the neck of the figure's head. The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached. The figure has a red face and black hair with a blue, silver, red and gold headdress that comes to a point at the back. The shirt is black with a dark red collar and cuffs, and the skirt is brown with grey-blue lines and a dark red waistband.

A three-dimensional wood puppet of a monkey-like figure. The face is painted red, with big black eyes, a large protruding upper lip with an open mouth showing the white teeth, and the red tongue, and black facial features. Wearing a black, red, and white conical hat. The upper body is painted yellow with a pattern of black inverted u forms. Wearing a red-brown maroon and beige-brown plaid skirt with a red-brown maroon fabric belt. The arms are riveted at the joints with string and have a wood marionnette stick.
