On either side of the piece, there are two handle-like protrusions that bend upwards, are threaded through a circular disk and attach near the rim of the piece by two small nails.

Jar is decorated with a face in relief on neck and upper shoulder and two arms in relief on shoulder to sides of face. Face is wearing a headdress; has protruding nose and brow; eyes are bored into surface; mouth is sneering. Its arms are bent at elbows and hands are at shoulder.
