Rectangular form of fine white porcelain: vertical sides first swell from low unglazed foot, then incurve slightly at rim; indented corners. Pattern: divided diagonally from point near upper right corner to point near lower left corner; area to left glazed in glossy red-brown, which wraps from the inside over the outside surface to top of foot; area to right painted in underglazed blue with a landform supporting a composition of bamboo, pine, and prunus, with a cloud form above; on each of the two adjacent outside surfaces a motif of two cash with ribbons in underglaze blue; all shapes rendered with dark blue outlines filled with light blue washes; all covered in a minutely pitted white glaze. On glazed base, well rendered underglaze blue characters read "Dai men nen sai" meaning "Made in the Ming Dynasty" (Chinese dynasty, 1368-1644). Junction between brown and white glazes marred in one place by narrow grey-brown band; in cloud area at upper right corner, extensive repair.
Eight-lobed Kakiemon style dish, everted lip, fine white porcelain body: low foot rim unglazed; base glazed, only two spur marks apparent, underglaze blue line at junction with foot. Interior: blossom spray on bottom asymmetrically placed, outlined and painted in underglaze blue, separated from walls by double underglaze blue lines; walls have scattered landform shapes in overglaze enamels, blue, green, and yellow as well as red prunus blossoms; double underglaze blue lines at lip. Exterior walls: double underglaze blue lines at junction with foot, and one above; scattered overglaze blue blossoms, outlined in black.
Small totem pole with three figures. Topmost is a bear figure with a black body, green arms and legs, a red snout and eyes and red dots covering the body. The middle figure is wolf-like with a red body, black arms and legs and green dots covering the body. The bottom figure is a bird with a green head and body covered with black dots and red and black striped wings. The word "Esquimalt" is roughly carved across the lowest portion of the pole. The pole sits on a black and brown base.
The shape of this mask is triangular with two planes intersecting on the median of the face. The forehead is high and smooth. The forehead is overpainted by a thunderbird design in black and green with the bird's head on the mask's left side. The thunderbird has oval black eyes surrounded by a plain tapering oval and a green area, a cross shape in the ovoid nostril, and four green split u feathers. The black eyebrows of the mask are raised and extend from the nose to the back edge of the mask. The eyes are placed on the upper cheek plane, with no orb, under a projecting and sloping under-brow. The eye is shallowly engraved and its centre is a round hole. A black band is painted across the eyes with some unpainted patches showing through. The nose, from which the cheek planes slope, has black drawn-back hollow nostrils. Black and green split u thunderbird feather designs extend down the cheeks. Narrow black lips are pulled back and down showing twelve plain teeth. A ridge around the bottom of the mask, painted black in the middle, is the chin.
Carved, wood mask with a triangular shape coming to a point at the bridge of the nose. Bear fur spans the top of the mask and extends halfway down the back opening. The slightly raised, heavy eyebrows are painted black, extending from the back edges of the mask and meet at the upper nose. The eyes, set in a shallow recess on the plane of the upper cheek, are long and drawn out with a circular centre. The nose is long and narrow, with back thrust nostrils. Lips, painted red are rounded and drawn back, slightly parted. U-form designs on the forehead are painted green, blue and red; eyes are outlined in black with a red broken-line sunlight design above them; wave-like designs on the cheek are painted green and blue.
Dzunuk'wa feast dish carved from a single piece of wood in shape of reclining figure, Dzunuk'wa (Tsonoqua), with head at one end; centre is deep ovoid bowl and opposite end has drawn up knees with block-like feet. Head is deeply carved with hair outlined; nose, pursed mouth and chin in higher relief than eyes and cheeks. Cheek band is mid-height. Head cuts off sharply at chin. Bowl has hands on either side with carved ovoid shape on palm and ovoids with split u's and ovoid on shoulder area. Painted black with red details on mouth, nostrils, bowl rim and with white shoulder detail. White on palm. Adze marks in longitudinal lines. Flat on bottom.
Whale-shaped mask or headdress with moveable jaw, dorsal, pectoral and fluked tail fins. The moveable parts are connected by strings which work together. Black overall with red mouth, outline around eye, nostril and details on fins. Dorsal fin at centre top is in recessed channel. It is attached to headdress with wooden pegs at bottom centre of fin; ovoid hole cut in white ovoid above face, two u-shapes above. Tail flukes also formerly pegged, peg now missing; decorated with frontal face which has black and white ovoid in ovoid eyes with red split u ears and red and white mouth. Bottom, convex surface is painted with a frontal face; black outlined round eyes and grinning mouth. Red and green details on white ground. Pectoral fins, formerly hinged with nailed on leather strips which have split down centre. One side patched and also now detached. Outside of fins are fully painted with face before double split u's; inside is black and red on unpainted wood. White s-shape on each side of whale body and white ovoid at back. Holes for string attachments in all parts. Canvas head strap on bottom with remnants of blue cloth. Piece of rope strung across bottom near back. Stains, imbedded dirt and a few scrapes.

The other scene has water, three mountains, house, trees and clouds. Between scenes and designs is a red cloud pattern on gold. Bottom has a raised rim and around the rim is a red and gold plantain design. Everted rim at mouth with red band inside. Inscription of four red calligraphy characters on underside of base.

Saucer shaped dish on an elevated foot rim. Outer rim has six lobes. Inside depicts two black and red cocks, one white cock, stylized flowers, grass, rocks, and fungus. Outer side has three flower sprays of peaches and lotus. Stylized lotus around foot rim. Square seal on bottom.
