Orange and white diamond design skirt beneath kimono. Black lacquered sandals have faint red flower design on sides. Orange string forms top of sandals. Metal spikes protrude from heel. Child has shoulder length black hair with bangs. Facial features similar to mother's. White textured cloth around child's neck. Three tiered drum staff in woman's hand. Top drum has floral cloth ends. Orange string joins drum ends together. Light green in centre of drum. Next is a red cylinder with gold wrapping. Green, pink, white, yellow, and red string hang from each end. Last drum has floral cloth ends. Red centre with one gold band. Red staff is wrapped in gold, partially hidden by sleeve. Standing on a clear white base.

Painted black eyebrows, brown eyes in eye sockets, painted black lower lashes, molded nose, and painted red closed mouth. Faint pink on cheeks and above eyes. Orange floral kimono with white and light pink lining visible at neck. At hem of kimono, sleeve cuff, and sleeve sides there is textured yellow cloth. Pink cloth also at sleeve sides. Checkered red and gold obi with white cloth tied around centre of obi. Pink and white dotted scarf above obi.

Female doll (part a) with plaster face, hands, and feet. Black hair. Red round flat hat segmented and edged in gold which is tied under the chin with red silk. Top kimono is floral orange with light red lining. Under kimono is red with geometric gold cranes. Obi is gold brocade on orange ground. Woman is carrying wisteria branch in her right hand with the branch extending over her shoulder. Red lacquered wood and glass case (part b) surrounds doll. Base tied to cover with silk thread and having four panels of which three are glass and the fourth back panel is covered with silver dotted paper. The four panels are in a red lacquered frame.

Doll (part a) has gesso-like head, hands, and feet. Body stuffed with paper? Black shoulder length straight hair with bangs. Black painted eyebrows, brown glass eyes in eye socket, painted black lower lashes, molded nose, and pink painted closed mouth. Orange floral kimono. Obi brocaded in orange and gold with white tie around obi. Pink and white dotted scarf above obi. Wooden stand (part b) black lacquer finish with fixed wood upright.

Wood mask that has an open, hollow mouth with four fangs. Pointed ears and straight, coarse, black to dark blue hair framing blue green face. Eyebrows, pupils, and nostrils are black. Eyes and mouth are lined with purple. Whites of eyes and teeth are not painted or varnished. On ther back, there is a square stamp in Japanese script. Hair is groups of strands formed by individual holes approximately one centimetre across. Green cord at back for hanging.
