Miniature rectangular shaped dish carved out of a thick plank of wood. The centre has been hollowed out, the ends are angled with concave impressions. The exterior has a slightly bevelled surface below the proximal edge. Painted with red, black and gold designs on the exterior surfaces. An animal face resembling a beaver, is present at each of the ends, while stylized bird-like designs are centred on each of the longer sides. The gold paint is used primarily as an accent colour. The artist signed the base, in red paint: "Made by Stanley James, Nanaimo B.C."

Wooden D-adze painted green. Blade has been made from a file. Leading end flared to a slightly-curved sharp edge. Bound onto wooden handle with a rawhide and leather thong bindings. Handle has shaving-deflecting upturned ridge at front and heavy grip. Decorated with curving parallel incised lines at back. Was painted green - partly worn off.

A short, spherical brown gourd with a long, handle-like protrusion on one side. Dark geometric designs have been painted on the sides. A cord loop is strung through a hole in the end of the handle.

Circular woven basket with a flat bottom, straight, vertical sides and a flat lid that is attached to the basket with ties on one side--two loops to be tied together with string are on the opposite side of the lid and top of the basket. Three concentric circles of black, red, and gold enameled willow ring the lid, while three similar bands encircle the sides of the basket.

Birch bark wall hanger. Birch bark nailed together, painted with a floral design, varnished, and bound with dyed root. Hole in top for suspension. Triangular back with oblong basket at bottom for holding objects. Red binding on rim.
