String puppet of a water spirit character. He wears a dark brown button-up coat with subtle red and black vertical stripes and a thin red ribbon belt. The coat has three dark brown buttons - one at the front closure and one on each sleeve cuff. The coat has two pockets on the hips and one on the chest. There are green, red and yellow ribbons pinned to the chest. The belt is held in place by two different toned round metal pins. Under the coat he wears a red shirt with a red tie that is held in place by a honeycomb-patterned metal pin. He wears short brown-grey tweed-like pants that end at his calves. The pants have red embroidery tape around each cuff. He has a green beard with a long, green parted moustache, and he has green chin-length hair and green eyebrows. His eyes, cheeks and lower lip are red and his upper lip is silver. The jaw is hinged and movable. His neck, arms, and legs are all green, and his feet are webbed with red claws. His hands, legs and face are carved with his right hand posed like it should be grasping something. String puppet. Puppet carved from a section of bamboo with three stacked faces carved in the upper half and a notch cut out of the top. The puppet is lightly carved with the designs painted in blue, red, teal and black. The top face has eyes that are underlined in red, a red down-turned mouth, black steeply angled eyebrows and a moustache and split chin beard. The second face has solid black angled eyebrows with blue lines above them, red outlined eyes, and a mouth with two incisors and two long fangs. The third and bottom face, has red outlined eyes with bright blue mask around the eyes, small black moustache, wide red lips with teeth showing, and three different designs of concentric circles along the jaw alternating between blue and black. Each figure has movable limbs, which are controlled by strings inserted into three holes on each side and have circular cross-sections of bamboo attached to the ends of each pair of strings at the bottom. The top two sets of limbs are longest with three cylindrical bamboo grass beads and long blade-like structures at the ends. The lowest set has two cylindrical bamboo beads and a circular cross-section of bamboo at the end. The carved designs extend into the lower portion of the bamboo and has two concentric hearts at centre. The back is carved with artist's signature(?).

String puppet of a beautiful woman character. She wears a full-length yellow-green dress with long sleeves. She wears a black belt with silver designs. There is black lace around the cuffs and hem, and a white lace collar. She has painted white stockings with black heeled shoes. She has rosy lips and cheeks with little brown eyes, and dark brown hair that is styled back in two curls and bow-like knot. Her hands, legs and face are carved. Puppet is moved by a metal control rod with a wooden crossbeam, with strings attached to head, shoulders, hands and knees.

String puppet of a noblewoman character. She wears a full-length pink dress with long flowing sleeves. She wears a wide black velvet belt with three pearls(?) down the front, and a section of off-white lace underneath. There is a layer of off-white lace around the shoulders with a small black lace collar. She wears tall black boots with lace design. She has rosy lips and cheeks with light blue eyes, and dark brown hair that is styled up in a bun with some curls on her face. Her hands, legs and face are carved. String puppet of a jester character. He wears matching red shirt and pants, both with silver fringe. The pants end at his calves with white painted stocking beneath. He wears a red two-pointed cap with a bell at the end of each point. There are also bells at the end of each sleeve and pant leg. He wears red shoes on his feet. He has carved black hair, a thin black moustache and black goatee. His eyes are large and grey, he has an upturned nose and big cheeks. The jaw is hinged and movable. His hands, legs and face are carved with his right hand posed like it should be grasping something. Puppet is moved by a wooden control stick with three crossbeams, with strings attached to head, shoulders, hands and knees.

String puppet of a devil character with a Baroque style head. The devil is shirtless with raccentuated ribs on the chest. Their head is bald with two red horns that curl back. The face is held in a grimace with teeth bared. They wear plaid shorts with metal shackles around the waist, arms and thighs. The waist shackle has a length of chain attached. While the overall appearance is human-like, the lower legs are goat-like with hooves. The chest and lower legs have red splotches on the skin. His hands, legs and face are carved. Puppet is moved by a wooden control stick with wood crossbeams, with marionette strings attached to head, shoulders, hands and knees. The control stick has an ornate 'VK' carved on it.

String puppet of a sorceress character. She wears a full-length black dress with long sleeves. The front of the dress has a lace panel with black glass beading which extends from the neck to the hem. Underneath, she wears another long black dress with a black velvet hem. Her shoes are black, and she wears red stockings. She wears a small leather flower decoration at her neck and a black cape that hangs from her shoulders. The cape has a woven edge with embroidery along the bottom of the fabric. She has a delicate face with grey-blue eyes, and dark pink colouring which covers her eyelids and cheeks. Her hands, legs and face are carved. Puppet is moved by a metal control rod with a wooden crossbeam, with strings attached to head, shoulders, hands and knees.

String puppet of the character Faust, a nobleman. He is dressed in a heavyweight tunic with long black velvet sleeves with purple and silver inserts, and leather cuffs. He wears brown velvet pantaloons with dark yellow embroidery tape down the sides and dark yellow fringe around the cuffs. The tufted bib is also of brown velvet with dark yellow embroidery tape down the centre, and he wears a floppy brown velvet hat. His boots are tall, folding over on his calves. A shiny, light purple belt is tied at his waist. He wears a lace collar at his neck, and a long mauve velvet cape hangs from his shoulders. His face is bearded with a moustache, he has chin-length hair, and his eyes are light brown. His hands, legs and face are carved. Puppet is moved by a wooden control stick, with strings attached to head, shoulders, hands and knees.

String puppet of a devil character. He wears a wool button-up jacket with fur collar and cuffs. A red belt is tied at his waist. He wears black and off-white gingham pants that end at his calves and are edged with fur bands. His left foot wears a tall black boot and his right foot is bare, revealing an oversized human-like foot with a dark red-brown hairy leg. He has a large goat head with two red horns extending back from the top of his head and a third smaller horn extending up from the snout. The mouth is filled with teeth including large, separately carved canine teeth. The jaw and tongue are both hinged and movable. His black hair comes to three points at the forehead, and a fan extends down the centre of his head. Under his chin is a beard. His hands, legs and face are carved with his right hand posed like it should be grasping something. Puppet is moved by a metal control rod with a wooden crossbeam, with strings attached to head, shoulders, hands and knees.The metal control stick has dettached at the head.

String puppet of an old witch character. She wears a high-collared dress of a dark black and gold shiny fabric with flecks of gold throughout. The dress is has a woven pattern of black wavy lines that run on diagonals. The dress has large fabric patches in groups of two - red, yellow and black plaid, green and another red. Her legs are bare and she wears red shoes that are both carved to appear torn open at the toe. She wears a purple cape off the shoulder that is tied in front. Her face is very angular with a pointed chin, hooked nose, and narrow eyes. Her chin and nose both have a large wart. Her eyes are made of green irises with black beads for pupils. She has carved dark brown hair as well as an attached short length of hair which extends out from under a green head scarf. The jaw is hinged and movable revealing two teeth inside her mouth. Her hands, legs and face are carved. Two wooden control sticks are attached to her back by a long metal rod, secured to each other by a leather strap, with marionette strings attached to head, shoulders, hands and knees.
