A large light brown wood mask with massive amounts of hair on string flowing down. The round red eyes bulge out with slits carved out underneath. The big wide nose has its nostrils cut out with two pointed protrusions up the sides of the nose. The big open black mouth has red gums and long white teeth with two fangs curved outward to the sides at either ends. There is an elaborate crown headdress with five protrusions curved outward. The large ears are attached to the sides with string and are decorated with red curved lines and the lobes are pierced with black earrings decorated with gold. The tongue is a long piece which falls out down from the mask and is made of red skin decorated with glass mirrors and gold ornaments.
The first piece (part a) is the head of a female painted with a green face and a large oval headdress surrounding her entire face. The headdress has a cylindrical stepped middle part, and the whole thing is red decorated with gold dots and a yellow rim. Her face is outlined with white and she has long black fibre hair. She has two knobs protruding from her face. The second piece (part b) is the upper body which has the arms bent at the elbows with the right perpendicularly forward holding a golden object and the left hand being held over the chest. The neck is long and tapers up to a point with a metal loop. The upper body garment is red decorated with green, blue, and gold. The third piece (part c) is the three red and beige multiple stringed strands with red and white tassels which are draped around the neck. The fourth piece (part d) is a skirt which tapers to a white point at the top with a metal loop. The waist has a dark blue belt decorated with circular gold flowers and a horizontal gold line around the top and the bottom of the belt. Oval beads are painted in three rows around the hips with a pink rope underneath. The skirt is white with visible light blue folds in the fabric and have two sets of horizontal rows that have pink in the middle and green around them which transition to yellow at the back. There is a long thin red front panel decorated with gold dots and sideways crescents outlined with two rows of gold dots followed by a pink, green, yellow, and white garland. Two long thin orange side panels are decorated with horizontal rows of green pink, blue, yellow and black. The fifth piece (part e) is the legs which are slightly fused together with dark blue anklets decorated with two horizontal of gold dots around the middle. The beige-pink feet are standing on a rounded circular base painted grey and black. There is a metal loop at the top of the legs.
Part a is a rectangular metal box with one open end and a sliding lid that fits through slits in either side of open end; lid has metal loop through one end. One large face has incised decoration and script on it; remnants of colour on lid and decorated face. Surface of box has small areas of silver but is mainly covered in corrosion. Box has pieces of paper stuffed tightly inside that have an inked grid with each square containing four inked characters. Parts b-e are loose pieces of paper that are inked in the same manner as the paper inside.
A large brown wood face mask with large oval eyes cut out and outlined with red and black. The black eyebrows are upraised with a bump in between. There is a wide flat nose with red nostrils cut out. The huge mouth has red lips, large white teeth, and four very big fangs which stick out at an angle and curve outward. The ears are flat, long, and large. The top of the mask is covered with a paper section There is a significant amount of light brown fibrous hair. Leather strips are at the back.
An orange wood mask with carved with two upward curved grooves on the furrows of the forehead with a large bump underneath from which hair is used for the eyebrows. A figure eight-shape hole is cut out for the eyes. The wide nose has red nostrils cut out. The red mouth is carved out with its lips slightly parted, and the lower jaw is attached with leather and metal nails at the back. There is hair for the moustache. The cheeks are small and pointed. Rubber is tied with string around the back through two small holes at either sides.
Two vertical sticks encased in red wax at the top. Each stick has a shorter stick attached at its base with paper at a forty-five degree angle. On both sticks the orange wax also has three coloured marks on it--yellow, white and green--and a large white wick emerging from the top.
Round bowl with indented foot and flared rim. Parchment paper over top is held on with string around base of flare. Interior has dark brown wax(?) at bottom.
White and dark red coloured Japanese paper currency displayed in cream coloured paper scrapbook. Secured on page with black corner tabs and placed under strand of white fibre cording. Denomination is ten yen. Image of a building on left side and number "10" in bold on the right side. "10 YEN" is also printed in bold at the bottom of the image.
Wooden frame with a black, rectangular base with a yellow rectangle protruding vertically from its centre; the two top corners are cut from vertical piece. On the centre of the vertical piece is a raised, red circle with a heart-shaped picture area cut out of it. A black and white picture of a boy is in the frame. The back has a wooden plug holding the picture and glass in place.
Four-tiered hexagonal representation of a tower that narrows towards the top. Roof areas hang over the edges of each tier, and are painted red with black shingle lines. The tower itself is light blue with painted white brick lines. There are small black coloured arched windows on each side. The paper structure is held together by a long bamboo pole that runs the length of the tower. It is secured to the structure by a split cross-bar at the opening near the bottom.
