Part a is a fan. One side of the fan is gold and is decorated with a design of a branch with open blossoms and buds. There is a red seal on the lower left side. The other side is silver with black Japanese printing and has a red seal on the left side. The fan is attached to a brown coloured plastic(?) handle and has ten slats. When closed, the fan is covered in a plastic sleeve and secured by a silver band. Part b is a mount for the fan and consists of a long board with a small hole at one end and two brown ties at the other.
