Petroglyph rubbing on long fiber tissue paper with black ink. A. Gillespie 7/17/03 From "Descriptive Catalogue of Petroglyph Prints for the University of Washington, from The Dalles Dam Resevoir, 1956." by Mark Hedden: Three grooved curvilineur (sic) abstractions on vertical axis based on center stem. Largest, and most complex, partly destroyed by vandalism before print was made. Part remaining shows descending stem with base of concentric ovals. Part destroyed has numerous angular & curvilineur (sic) appendages with small round knoblike head. Adjacent right, a second vertical with star imposed on midsection, has upper end joined to arc with rays. Base runs into distinct design of parallel grooves in sickle pattern. A third vertical adjecant (sic) right, to central design, appears with bulbulous attachment to center. Simple 'eye' design lower right, as dots, ringed with lineur (sic) extension on inner corners curving down, outlining nose(?), and out.

Small head on stem, with horns. Long wavy with three pronged termination. Horizontal zigzag or wavy. Two phallic standing figures, with three fingered arms straight out, & paralleled by curious extra appendages to the legs, ending in three or four toes in rake pattern.
