The design has a sequined meander pattern in yellow and gold, interspersed with a white floral motif. The edges are lined with yellow and gold sequins. The inside is stiffened with cardboard and the back is lined with white cotton.

Folded white hat (part a) with sequined designs. The top piece is rounded. The design has floral motifs in pink, blue and green sequins. The edges are lined with yellow and gold sequins and a silver sequined geometric pattern. There are two black string ties and two long white streamers with the same sequined designs attached at the back bottom. The inside is stiffened with cardboard and lined with orange cotton. Two white pieces (part b-c) with sequined designs. The curved pieces have a wire frame, covered with fabric. The design has yellow, gold edges and silver inner details. On one side are green leaves, on the other are pink flowers. The pieces fit into the ends of a horizontal metal tube, attached to the back of the hat (part a).

A shield-shaped fan made of cardboard with a heavy rolled edge of fabric supported by a wood socket and slat running up the centre back. The concave front has a main design consisting of a bird facing to its right on a peony tree among prunus motifs with turquoise, blue, black, pink, mauve, grey, and pale green bordered by tin reflectors, mirrors, on an ivory-coloured background. The top of the bird's head is blue, and the middle of its wings are purple. A golden bat is at the base with an attached deep pink tassel. The convex back has a printed rose design, 18th century style, on cotton.

On surface B, the front, back and sleeves have crane, chrysanthemum and peony motifs in silver, blue, pink and yellow on a red ground. The collar, sleeve and border bands have a chrysanthemum motif in silver and blue on a red ground. There are green glass eyes, circular mirrors and tin reflectors. The inside lining is natural-coloured linen.
