Tapa Cloth2534/2

Rectangular-shaped tapa with repeating, square, breadfruit designs covering almost entire front surface. The design squares are repeated 3 wide and 5 long. The first lengthwise row has a single dotted circle at its centre, with four leaves around it - two painted in ochre, two in black. The middle row has a double-circle centre with all four leaves painted ochre. The last row has a triple-circle centre with same coloured leaves as first row. There is a thin unpainted border around all edges.

Shell pendant attached in two places to a wide woven band which tapers at ends. Band has a cowrie shell at each end close to where it is attached with knots through holes in the kina shell. Shell has a deep cresent shape with rounded ends. Entire object is covered with a red pigment, although back of shell shows some original colouring. Paper sticker on front.

Tapa Cloth556/2

Large tapa cloth with designs in two shades of brown on natural ground. Four lengthwise panels with various designs of stars, birds, heraldic and diagonals with writing. One end is cut close to the centre panel, the other has blocks with brown marks and numbers. The cloth is made of several pieces attached together.

Tapa Cloth2533/4

Rectangular-shaped tapa cloth covered with repeating geometric designs. Single-line border encloses three lengthwise rows of six repeating patterns, all in black and ochre. One row is diamonds, the second has circular designs, the last has a design of overlapping four-pointed stars. Each repeating pattern is in a square with symmetrical quadrants.

Small oblong, double-layered, painted tapa. Reddish-brown geometric/leaf design which fills a rectangular area, leaving an irregular undecorated border around the edges. It appears there are two identically-patterned tapas attached together in the layers.

A black pottery turtle with indented eyes. Running the centre of the turtle's back is a stylized, mirror image design of four outlined semi-circles. Part of turtle is polished to make the clay shiny.

Very large two-ply tapa cloth without seams. Design covers entire front surface. The main area is divided into eight panels divided by black lines. Each panel has black and brown geometric designs in it. Background of all panels covered with brown parallel lines - some straight up and down, some diagonal. Border design near each end. One end's border is wider than the other end's. Sides and ends are rough.

Cantonese Opera Horn1704/4 a-b

Cantonese opera prop of a double-reed horn. Part a: Brass horn with a tapering ribbed wooden body--wooden body has seven segments, each with a finger hole. End of wooden body is attached to a tapering brass fitting with two spherical knobs centred on it. Part b: Small mouthpiece wound in copper wire--slides onto tapered brass fitting.

Jar2189/16 a-c

Jar (a) with lid (b), both made of metal. The jar holds reddish-brown pigment and the paper (c) it was wrapped in. The jar has a rounded shoulder with a flared base, and the lid has a small knob for a handle. Both are incised with a leaf and plant design, and parts of the design are coloured black and brown.
