Cassowary feather headdress. A thick band is woven of light and dark brown stems in a geometric pattern. One end has a loop, the other a long tie. The many black cassowary feathers are pulled through the upper edge of the band.

Ornament made of woven plant fibre and two boar tusks. The tusks curved inward to a narrow woven basket covered at the bottom with fur. The basket has a black and yellow pattern and tapers towards the top. There is a green string attached to the basket end.

Trade axe (part a) with stone blade (part b). The axe handle is light coloured, smooth wood with a slight curve. The head of the axe has a dark coloured wood piece on one side and a black stone blade on the other. Both are wrapped with plant fibre and resin attaching them to the handle.

A double woven rattle with round bodies on bases of flat, circular gourd pieces. Inside the bodies are small stones. The bodies are joined together by a thin curved handle.

Small coiled basket with multiple colours (part a). The sides are black, brown and green; the bottom is natural. The coiled lid (part b) is natural in colour with a red rim.

Large flute in two pieces. Thin, carved, black, wood figure, with large winged bird on its head, has braids of plant fibre with shells and bone and a long, elephant trunk-like nose hanging down, and a long red and white tail. Figure's face is covered with tattoos in beige and red. The upper figure (part a) fits into the flute section (part b) which is a large piece of bamboo, with a large hole top and bottom, covered with carved and stained black designs, and with reed basketry at top and base.

Large wooden figure sitting upon a stool. The light green head has a row of black feathers surrounded by four rows of small shells. There are cowrie shells as eyes, painted concentric designs and a long pointed beak. The brown body has pointed breasts and small wings. Tied around the neck is a large cowrie shell. Tied around the waist is a grass skirt. A cord is knotted around both wrists and ankles.

Girl's pulpul of silk and wool twisted strands atached to cords of plant fibre? The hanging strands are blue and white and are in two distinct sections from the waist cord.

Fifty-two samples of paper in different weights and colours, contained in a blue handmade folder. Inside the back of the folder is written "With best wishes to Miss Smith. J. Kom July 1954" in black felt pen.

Wrist band consisting of numerous green and red feathers, with black colouring, bound together with fibre twine which is wrapped around a twisted twine rope. The rope is circular shaped with an unraveling end which is tied together with a small piece of green fabric. The feathers are displayed in a fan-like shape.
