Tall, brown woven basket that flares slightly outwards from the base. Basket has a square base, a circular top and four carved wooden supports up the sides.

PotIe478 a-b

Clay pot (part a) with a grass ring stand (part b). The pot has a long narrow bottom with a bulbous middle that tapers into the neck that has a flared rim opening. On the side of the neck is a face decoration in relief with inset eyes surrounded by large, protruding cheek-like structures. Around the head is band of small ovals; below is a band of large, outlined ovals with many small ovals in the middle. The pot is covered in ochre while the face has traces of black pigment. The fibre ring (part b) consists of numerous pieces wrapped and knotted on the outside edge.

Loom1097/1

Loom formed out of a narrow stick that is bent around to cross itself; overall teardrop shape; a cord is strund across the inside near the narrow end. The loom has a partially finished weaving on it with warp strands strung from the cord over the round end and back down to the cord again; completed weaving on about a quarter of the length on both sides; small sticks are woven through the other end for about a third of the length as guides for weaving fibres.

Dance Apron1243/7 b

The apron has a natural coloured, loose fibre front and a half circle plastic backing. The fibre strands are knotted onto two twisted fibre bands. The top of the blue-gray plastic is folded and sewn down over one fibre band, creating long ties at both sides. The other fibre band is sewn to the curved bottom of the plastic backing, also creating long ties at both sides.

Mask1373/15

Large dark-brown oval-shaped mask with crescent-shaped cut-out eyes and mouth, long raised nose ridge with two cut-out nostrils, small round protruding ears, and slightly defined eyebrow ridges. Starting at the ears to the crown of the head, there are small holes around the perimeter of the mask with plant fibre woven in and out of them.
