Wooden humanoid mask with a narrow face. Mask has protruding circular eyes and long straight nose; eye rims are coloured with light grey pigment. The large space between the nose and mouth is smooth and slants outward, transitioning into the upper lip. Mouth is square-shaped and has three silver-coloured teeth embedded in each lip. A large semi-circular ridge extends from the top edge of the forehead, with vertical incised lines decorating the sides. Short red-brown plant fibre(?) decoration is adhered to the bottom of the ridge, nose, eyes and cheeks. Top of mask is flat, sides and chin are rounded; interior is hollow. Mask has holes for eyes and mouth; holes drilled all around back edge.
Humanoid face made of packed clay and pigment. Face has a large forehead, with a triangle-shaped piece of red-pink glass embedded in its centre, that tapers into a narrow face; chin is squat. Cowrie shell eyes frame a hooked nose that has a braid of plant fibre attached to its base, imitating a moustache. Mouth is open and has a protruding bottom lip. Two deep channels are moulded onto the top of the head, creating three high ridges across the surface. Both channels have strands of plant fibre in them, secured with wooden pegs; similar strand is attached to the top of the centre ridge. Plant fibre braids are nailed along the edges of the face. All plant fibre imitates hair. Back of carving and base are undecorated.
Horn container filled with packed pigment and plant fibre; horn has a hole drilled through the tip. Brass ring is strung through the hole and has decorative brass attachments. Attachments include: a bracelet-like band, two coiled springs and an ankle dance rattle-like band. The bracelet-like attachment has a rounded interior and exterior; top and bottom sides are flat. The centre exterior is decorated with incised diagonal lines. The rattle-like band is folded, with the top and bottom edges pinched at two points on the exterior side; semi-circles protrude from top and bottom edges in between pinched sections. The ends of the band are curled into tight circles.
Wooden humanoid mask with a narrow face that tapers at the chin. Mask has a pronounced brow with alternating triangles carved in relief along its length; nose ridge protrudes from underside of brow. Curved metal sheeting above triangular eye holes, imitating eyelids; thin triangle-shaped cheeks extend from either side of the mask. Large nose has two small holes drilled into the base, overtop a protruding upper lip. Teeth are carved in relief along top and bottom edges of mouth opening; raised triangular tongue carved on bottom of mouth. Jaw is attached to mask with plant fibre ties. Sides and top of mask are flat, chin is rounded and mask interior is hollow. Holes drilled all around back edge.
Small woven basket with a short strap handle. Basket body is cone-like in shape with a flat top; decorated with an alternating dark brown and light brown stripe pattern. A circular lid is attached to the basket at the back and secures at front with a ball and loop closure.
String of dark blue "Dutch" trade beads, strung on strands of plant fibre, secured with a series of large knots at the back. The glass beads are an assortment of tube, rondelle and round shapes.
Two-piece mask (part a) and tunic (part b) costume. Mask consists of a rounded basketry headpiece, crowned with ten horns, and a rectangular panel hanging from the front. Headpiece is covered in thick braids, made of hair, which wrap around the bases of the horns. The braids then extend downward, draping over the chest and back of the wearer. Braids have red cloth tied at intervals along their length with cowrie shells hanging from their bottoms. The mask panel is covered entirely in cowrie shells with stuffed red fabric in the centre, imitating eyes and a nose. Additional cowrie shells and red fabric decorate the horns. The tunic is sleeveless and indigo-dyed, with off-white designs throughout. Designs are inside rectangular blocks across surface. Designs include: interlocking abstract “X” shapes, dots, concentric diamonds, and propeller-like shapes. Fringe decorates bottom edges and slits are cut underneath arm openings. Black cloth lining around neck opening and slits.
Wide brimmed, dome-shaped hat woven from palm leaves. Hat frame formed with an inner rod. Four groupings of red and blue tassels, tied together with braided cords, secured at intervals along the bottom edge. Star-shaped medallion with fringe on top centre of hat. Design consists of concentric circles and stars; done in red, yellow, dark blue, white and light green beads. Long feather attached to middle of medallion with red cord. Extending outward from the star, to the edges, are black, dark yellow and red beaded lines; dividing the hat into triangle-shaped sections. Matching line borders upper section of hat, before it slopes towards the brim. Band of red and dark yellow diamonds above border, connected to one another with black dots. Green painted decorations across interior of hat, matching beaded line pattern on surface. Hat band attached to interior, woven from rattan(?) strips and lined with patterned cloth. Red tassels on either side of band.
Thin rectangular shield consisting of three rounded wooden boards bound together with plant fibre ties; carved out handle on back centre. Entire surface is decorated with raised carved designs, coloured in black. Front of shield has rows of concentric circles and triangles divided by bands of zigzags and triangles. Back of shield has an assortment of linear, geometric and dot motifs.

Four groupings of red and black tassels secured at intervals along bottom edge, with a red zigzag stitched in between. Star-shaped medallion with fringe on top centre of hat. Design consists of concentric circles and stars; done in red, yellow, black, orange, green and white beads. Extending outward, to the edges, are black, red, yellow and green beaded lines; dividing the hat into triangle-shaped sections. Matching line borders upper section of hat, before it slopes towards the brim. Band of diamonds, done in identical colours, above border; points are orange and white. Red painted decorations across interior of hat, matching beaded line pattern on surface. Hat band attached to interior, woven from rattan(?) strips and lined with patterned cloth. White beaded chin strap, with red tassels, tied to either side. Inscription painted along interior rim.
