Painted wooden carving of the Christian virgin Mary, wearing a gold-trimmed blue dress with white head scarf. Painted onto the large pink face are blue and white eyes with gold rim and brows, smiling red lips, and reddish cheeks. Arms with overly large hands that hang down over her belly are attached below the chin; finger and toe nails are painted bright red.
