He has bright pink skin, almond-shaped black eyes, a large nose, a closed mouth, and adhered thin black eyebrows, thin black moustache and goatee. He wears a tall black hat and gold-rimmed glasses. His fabric body / tunic is a light blue and white gingham. The fabric covered foam tubes are adhered to the hands. Operated by inserting a hand inside the body of the puppet to control its head and movements.

Hand puppet of a 'Baltazar' character. Head and hands are carved from wood and painted. He has dark brown skin, almond-shaped black eyes with small pupils, rounded eyebrows, a large nose, thin black moustache and goatee, and a slightly open mouth. His fabric body / tunic is red with light blue, red and green floral pattern. The sleeves are a light blue and white gingham. The fabric covered foam tubes are adhered to the hands. String Puppet3351/1 a-c

Opera dei Pupi puppet of the character named Carlo Magno (King Charlemagne). Three-dimensional marionette carved of wood (part a) with detachable head (part b) mounted on a long, hooked metal rod. He wears a burgundy and gold tunic, purple-red velvet leggings, and a dark blue with gold brocade cape with a gold fringe. He also wears a silver metal belt, silver ankle guards, and a silver crown with deep red velvet underneath four arches, and surmounted by a small brass(?) globe and copper(?) cross. The crown is decorated with set glass(?) stones. His chest is embellished with a shiny woven textile, adorned with applique, sequins and looped-fringe, topped with a silver-coloured necklace with bejeweled cross (part c). The left wrist has a length of black cord tied to it, and the right hand is clenched in a fist, with a hole for an accessory to be inserted through. A metal rod with an eye hook at each end is tied to the right wrist. There is a metal band across the bottom of each heel. The body is jointed at the elbows, shoulders, and hips – with limbs held together by fabric underneath his outfit.

Mamulengo hand puppet of a 'Caboclo de Pena' character (part a), with a large feather headdress (part b). Carved from wood and painted. He has light orange-beige skin, wide black eyes, small nose with large nostrils, and an open mouth with thin red lips. He holds a white flower in his mouth. He wears shiny red leggings with neon pink ribbon around the cuffs, with purple and neon green feathers tucked in the ribbon. He wears a speckled brown-grey feather skirt with a poncho overtop. The poncho is heavily sequined with a dark pink background and flower design in green, blue, gold, red, pink and bronze. Each sequin has a clear bead sewn at at centre. The poncho is lined with long white tassels. He wears a headdress (part b) with woven base wrapped in shiny dark pink fabric, decorated with gold star sequins around the centre and light green ribbon around the edges. Tall feathers extending up from the band, with brightly dyed feathers around the outer edge, and tall natural feathers at centre. He holds an axe in his right hand with various coloured ribbons wrapped around the staff down the entire length. His boots are painted black.

Mamulengo hand puppet of a 'Caboclo de lança' (warrior with spear) character. Carved from wood and painted. He has light pink skin, small nose, small moustache and an open mouth with thin red lips. He holds a small white flower in his mouth. He wears a shiny gold outfit with a sequined and beaded poncho overtop. The front design features a blue upper half with a red, green and gold rainbow over a gold dot at centre, and a white lower half with a red cross at centre. Each sequin has a clear bead sewn at centre. The poncho is lined with tassels, alternating between red and gold-yellow. On his head, he wears a red headdress with shiny plastic garland in blue, gold and red and a light blue chin strap. Under the back of poncho, he wears a board covered in orange fabric, with two metal bells attached to each lower corner. He holds a long flag in his left hand consisting of various brightly coloured ribbons wrapped around the staff down the entire length. His boots are painted black.

He has grey-pink skin, and short white fuzzy hair, beard, and moustache. He has sunken cheeks, a hooked nose, an open red mouth, and large oval black eyes. His fabric body / tunic is green floral-pattern with blue floral sleeves. A clump of polyester batting is used to give the chest form. The fabric is adhered(?) to the hands and head, and wrapped with shiny blue ribbon at the wrists and neck. Operated by inserting a hand inside the body of the puppet to control its head and movements.

Calungo hand puppet of a 'Noiva (bride) Benedita' character (the form is more similar to a doll than a puppet). The fabric body is off-white with attached black glove-like hands. Her facial features are drawn in felt with almond-shaped black eyes, thick eyebrows, small nose, smiling burgundy mouth and rosy cheeks. She wears a long white sleeveless dress. Her red-brown hair is tied up, and worn under a white veil with a large jewelled pink and white bow. She wears earrings and a necklace.
