Large, wood, rectangular shaped shield with rounded corners. The surface is painted with the union jack flag. The underside is concaved and has a fibre handle consisting of many pieces of braided rope wrapped together with a piece of cotton fabric. Along one of the sides is an electrical cord, cut and tied into a knot at either end. Adhered to one of the corners is a flattened red and yellow tin can that reads: ‘Globe, Drippings, Product of Australia’. Covering almost half of the back is a nailed, large piece of metal. There are large cracks through the shield that have been repaired with adhesive, metal ties that protrude from the surface.

Slightly curved, pearl-coloured silk with loosely scalloped edges backed by white cotton. Silk is covered with scrolling lines of red sequins bordered by clear tube-shaped beads.

A long wooden adze handle (part a) carved with a stylized bear head at the angled section, with hair attached. Wrapped with cord in the middle and at the handle end. Note: the metal blade is no longer attached. Part b is a small folded leather blade cover, with a rubber band attached to the sides.

Cream cotton woman’s blouse with embroidery. The blouse has a standing collar, keyhole neckline and long cuffed sleeves with vertical panels of puckered fabric. The collar, centre front opening and narrow cuffs are embroidered with counted cross stitch designs, multicoloured knotted edge stitching and brown scalloped edging. There are white plastic button and loop closures at the centre front opening and cuffs. There is a small, multicoloured embroidered medallion in counted cross stitch on the back of each sleeve, just above the elbow. Entirely hand-sewn. The inside is unlined.

Long cream cotton men’s shirt. The shirt has a round neckline, long sleeves and full lower half. The centre front partial opening is trimmed with narrow bands of red, black and green embroidery and white scalloped edging; fastened with a brown plastic button and loop. The end of the sleeves are finished with blue knotted edge stitching and orange beads. Small, multi-coloured embroidered medallion worked in counted cross stitch on the back of each sleeve, just above the elbow. Sleeves are close fitting at the armhole. Entirely hand-sewn. The inside is unlined.

Pair of white gloves with black patches of animal skin with long fur sewn onto the fingertips and the back of the hand (missing on part b). Long, clear plastic claws are also sewn onto the fingertips. A metal snap closure is affixed at the wrist.

A hat adorned with various cloths, sequins, beads, yarn, wire, and coins over a stiff brim. Embroidered and has braids and tassels. The main design is consisting of an elaborate floral pattern in four quadrants, mostly white on dark blue-black.

High-waisted, short-sleeved green cotton shirt with five white, plastic, flower-like buttons down the front; puff sleeves and two small front pockets. Shirt is printed with a geometric pattern of green triangles and small purple circles; green and purple floral border around sleeves and on pockets.
