Mask representing a wolf head (this is a type of theatrical Kolam mask) with a black face, a long narrow snout, open mouth with red lips and pointed red teeth, bulging eyes with red-rimmed black pupils, and red nostrils. One protruding black and red ear remains nailed the the left side of the animal's head. One longer canine tooth in lower left side of jaw. Flexible red rubber tongue tip and segment of tongue have broken off the end of the remaining piece of tongue that is nailed to the inside of the lower jaw. The upper and lower jaws are wired together on each side with two equidistant vertical stitches. Cotton string is looped through a hole in the top of the head at the back edge and the ends of the string tied together.
Mask representing a village husband character (kolam mask) with a pink face, a low forehead with a flat top, painted black hair and eyebrows. The large eyes each have a crescent-shaped slit under them, and the nose is long, straight and narrow with small, indented nostrils. The mouth is closed with thin red lips. The ears are each made of a piece of cut rubber (?) that has been cut at the centre and the resulting corners bent inwards slightly to make each concave. There is a small hole on each side, behind the ears. A label on the reverse reads, "KOLAM MASK village husband," in typewritten characters, and "41" in pencil.
Three-dimensional monstrous humanoid puppet: large head (part b) fits into body with long tunic (part a), and a control rod (part c) with a long shaft passes through the body and fits into the neck of the figure's head. The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached. Large head, dominated by swollen nose, with large eyes and red irises. Wide toothy mouth with double hooked teeth in each corner and wide, red lips. Whiskers, mouth, ring, ears, brown, and eyes outlined in black. Shoulder length black hair in curls, and a dark green hat. Face two colours, vertically split: pale green on the figure's right, and pink to the figure's left. Arms and hands painted gold, with bracelets and nails red. Hands are flat, with fingers extended. Clothed in full length tunic of six different multicoloured fabrics. Light purple upright collar; top, light blue with red and blue stripes; middle section (and jabot, the oval flap hanging from neck) made from synthetic black fabric with bright green, orange, red and yellow floral print. Jabot decorated with sequins and beads. Lower section of tunic: red, white and green flowers on a dark blue background. Black, red, white diagonal stripes with white dots on reverse. Sleeves are made of light and dark brown sythetic material.
Mask depicting Kendy Paliya with a humanoid face and a movable lower jaw. The round, black eyes are deeply recessed with crescent-shaped openings directly beneath each. Tha mask also has big black eyebrows with a hint of yellow and green, black lines that adorn the forehead, cheeks, and nostrils, a prominent nose with flared nostrils, a plant fibre moustache, stuffed red cloth lips, and fifteen white plastic teeth. Label on reverse reads, "Kendy Paliya."
Mask with dark yellow face decorated with low relief triangles painted in black, white and red, and a U-shaped area in the middle of the forehead filled in with dots in red and black. The mask also has black eyebrows, red upper eyelids, eyes that look downwards and each have a crescent-shaped slit underneath, a pointed nose with nostril holes, and plant fibre twine straps. The upper and lower jaw are hinged with thread and are made from wire covered in red fabric. Two teeth protrude from the centre of the top lip, and two teeth on the bottom lip sit either side of the top teeth. The moustache and beard are of hemp, fastened to the mask with thread.
Mask depicting Pandam Paliya ("the torch-bearing apparition") with a humanoid face that is squarish in shape. The mask has bulbous eyes and nose with a wide mouth stretching across whole face. Each feature (eyes, cheeks, forehead, and nose) is a separate piece of wood wired together. Cloth covered wire outlines the back of the eyes and the bottom of left cheek. Oval mouth of red stuffed fabric wired at intervals around lips. White plastic teeth, two large protruding fangs on top row. Under nose and around mouth is a beard of black wool strands. Nose and cheeks are flesh-toned. Protruding eyes are carved on circular backgrounds with red, yellow and black petal designs on the lids. The black pupils are outlined in red. The brown wool eyebrows are knotted, tied and wired to the eyes. A label on the reverse reads, "PANDAM PALIYA: The torch-bearing appartition" in typed letters, and also a circled "7" in pencil.
Mask depicting Salu Paliya ("the shawl-clad apparition"). The mask has a fringe of dark brown hair around the top of the head, a black wool beard , and a moustache made of black knit fabric. The facial plane is rubber with eye holes cut in the cheeks, just below the eyes, and is painted black. The eyes and nose are made of wood and are nailed to the rubber. The lips are made from red cloth and tied to the rubber. The lower jaw is moveable. The separate white plastic teeth are sewn into the lips. The prominent nose is curved and painted orange-pink with a yellow and red stripe across the tip. The nostrils are flared, and the crease between the nose and nostril is defined with a black line. The eyes are discs and crescent-shaped with red and yellow eyelids that have radiating black lines. Strips of rubber are tied around centre of each lip and also serve as ties.

The control rod is mostly stained with a reddish-brown colour. The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached Orange face and ears; blue neck, torso and arms. Wearing elaborate headdress and gathered skirt. Large bulging eyes: irises red. Upper and lower teeth bared, tow fangs in corners of mouth: central lower fang curves up to pierce nose. Headdress composed of red skull-cap, gold ear ornaments, green and yellow band across forehead with curl in centre front. White, blue zigzag design above lower ear ornament. Gold wrist bracer. Skirt made of purple, blue, and yellow checkered cloth gathered at waist; red plastic taped around midriff. Head movement controlled by wood rod, which extends from head to handle beneath skirt. Arms jointed at elbow and shoulder, movement controlled by thin wands attached to hands.
Necklace of trade beads: red wooden beads alternating with small black beads; secured at back with white button. Dangling from necklace, there is a small section of white beads and a section of red beads that are strung together, ending with a large red wooden bead. Strung on sinew.
Male character in Daoist robe, Golden Rays style. Costumed, cloth hand puppet with carved, painted wooden head, hands, and feet. Forehead is green, back of head and eye areas are white, face and neck are pink, bird headdress is brown with black outlines suggesting feathers, red mouth is wide open, red dots on cheeks. Tan dyed hair, glued across top of head. Body (part a) is undyed cotton flaps, attaching around head, with attached white/cream hands with holes through sideways, partially stuffed with paper, stuffed legs, white and green soled black boots. Pasted and stitched blue silk, cotton lined robe (part b); sleeves pink/orange with orange borders and collar; blue, white, yellow and pink fur trim. Flower-like decorations, in foil wrapped thread, plastic sequins and tin edged mirrors. Yellow and white brocade trim at centre, backed with character printed paper. Costume is detachable, tied with cord at neck.
