Fringed amulet with knotted skin ties. Numerous strands of twined brown rope, each with a loop of five white beads at the bottom, are stitched between rectangular pieces of thick canvas with dark beading on the front and at edges. One strand of white beads is looped across the top of the fringe. Each of the ties is knotted into a large loop at the loose end, one loops through a large button, the other loops over the button.
White beaded necklace. A small rectangular panel decorated with three similar motifs in green, orange, blue and black hangs at one end of thick cord of twined double strings of beads. The necklace (or headband?) fastens with a loop over two larger beads at the opposite end of the cord.
Drum section for an obi bow and obi pad. Part of an obi (part m) for a woman's kimono. Stiff, shimmering light pink drum style panel with ties, and with a small pink pad and green plastic-covered wire handle at one end. Parts are hand-sewn together. Material is folded and creased in several places.
Spirit of the Ancestors-Spectacular sea-monster masks are part of the Kwakwaka'wakw Tlasula ceremony. Masked dancers impersonating supernatural beings enter the big house in firelight, dramatizing an encounter and declaring the high status of the family presenting the dance. This sea monster can spout water through the float at the top of its head by the dancer blowing on a plastic hose and water container concealed inside the mask.

Stencil used for decorating tapa cloth. Designs of a large palm leaf and a row of squares have been cut into an X-ray film negative. Stencil has been used and is coated with multiple layers of black and brown paint.

Painted onto the large pink face beneath the spotted green hat are blue and white eyes with black rims and brows, black hair and sideburns, a black mustache and smiling red lips. From the thick belt at his waist hangs a gray white-tailed rabbit and in front of him stands a black-spotted brown dog.
Colourful headdress with a turtle on mulberry fibre, wrapped around the front of a corrugated cardboard and plastic head ring covered with white fabric and decorative elements. A long blonde hair wig and pink feathers are stitched on to a frame at the back. Around and above the nose of the turtle are bands of green and red metal beads and brown shells, from the top of which project five black fabric-covered wood sticks with white shells and ivory coloured polished coconut shell rings adhered to their lengths.
