Slender knife with decorative quillwork handle and sheath. The sheath has two strips of quills along the length - red, yellow, green, yellow and red with white diamonds. The knife handle has quills around its circumference for the entire length. There are six rawhide tassels with quills wound around them and animal hair at their ends, at the end of the handle. The sheath is sewn together; the design is overlaid and sewn.
Series of objects (parts a to d) showing the manufacturing of Tandu ware. Part a are the fragments of a clay form of a bottle. Part b is a round form of raw hide shaped over a clay centre. Part d is a raw hide bottle. Part d is a raw hide bottle with strips of black hide with fur attached to the outside; the fur is separated by orange and green leather strips.
Babiche bag with pink and blue yarn tassel decorations. Main body of bag done in an open weave; babiche is white with a thin brown stripe towards top edge. Bag opening consists of a wide band of caribou skin with two ties along top edge, for securing bag closed. Long hide strap stitched to outer corners of opening. Yarn decorations done in rows of four, three, and three on front; four tassels along bottom edge and additional ones on each side. Back of bag is undecorated.
Raven headdress, or mask, with long cedar bark fringe. Emerging from the top of the head is a short cedar bark fringe, as well as black feathers and two attached wooden wing panels. Two additional upright wooden wing panels are attached at the back, and one horizontal panel. The panels are carved in relief and painted black, brown and dark red on a black background. The beak is black, and mouth is red. The lower part of the beak is hinged with strips of hide(?), nailed in place, and a thin grey plaited rope is attached to the inside of the lower beak, and hangs down with the long fringe. The eyes are black, outlined in red and black on a white ovoid background; the brow is black. The inside of the headdress is hollow and lined with yellow foam on the upper portion. Two thick plaited ropes are nailed to the top, at the back, to hold the mask on the wearer. Attached along the top ridge is a twisted and dyed cedar rope.
Lyre with a wooden sound chamber covered in leather skin; skin secured with wire. Triangular wood frame extends from top of sound chamber, made up of two arms inserted through the leather and connected at the top by a crossbar. The crossbar is rectangular on either end, with notches that the arms are inserted into, and a cylindrical centre where the strings are attached. Three strings are fastened to three wooden pegs and lashed around the crossbar. The strings are fastened across the front of the sound box to a wire loop. All components of lyre are darkened to dark brown with the exception of the strings.
Begena stringed instrument. Square-shaped resonator, covered with stretched rawhide, which is nailed in place. Triangular wood frame extends from top of sound chamber, made up of two arms inserted through the skin and connected at the top by a crossbar. The crossbar is rectangular on either end, with notches that the arms are inserted into, and a cylindrical centre where the strings are attached. The strings are fastened across the front of the sound box to wood pegs. U-shaped leather pieces placed between each string and the bridge.
Masenqo or single-stringed bowed lute (part a) with bow (part b). The lute has a diamond-shaped resonator is made of four small wooden boards glued together, then covered with stretched rawhide, which is stitched together. The single string is made of horse hair, and passes through a wooden bridge. The hair is knotted to a large tuning peg. The bow (part b) is composed of a U-shaped piece of wood that has plaited plant fibre strung between holes at the ends of the wood, and then tied.
Drum made from stretched hide over a wooden frame with a painted design on the front; part b is a drumstick. The front of the round drum has a painted seal in profile, in black, red and grey, with several vertical turquoise blue designs on both sides of the seal. The eye of the seal is an abalone circle, adhered in place. The outer edge of the drum has a thick black line painted all the way around; the background is natural skin. The hide is tied all around the back edge with sinew cords that join at the centre, wrapped with hide strips for the handle. Signed inside David Mungo Know Seal 92. The drumstick is wood; the head consists of fuzzy sheep skin secured over the end, with a beige leather thong wrapped around the handle, with a long leather fringe hanging from it.

Round drum is covered in painted designs in black, turquoise blue and red with a natural off-white background. The designs also cover the outside edge. The hide is tied all around the back edge with sinew cords that join at the centre, wrapped with hide strips for the handle. Signed inside Mike Dangeli 2017. The drumstick is wood; the head consists of padded hide tied securely over the end, with a hide tie on the handle.
Round beaded staff with feathers and beads hanging from hide cords along the length. The staff is completely covered in beadwork, long stripes of animal fur and hide, so that the material of the staff itself is hidden. The top end has an elongated, off-white bird head carved in plastic (made to look like bone), ending in the pointed beak. A long hide thong attached along the side holds a combination of long brown feathers, and plastic beads on shorter thongs.
