Birch bark is folded and stitched with strips of root (?), with a split twig rim overcast with a wide stitch at the top edge. Floral designs have been scratched onto the sides and lid, revealing a lighter shade of bark beneath. A strip of rawhide is strung from one side to the other to create a handle.

Simple coiled work (bifurcated stitches); parallel splint base construction; line held on by rawhide; tump line woven with wool. Vertical striped design; each stripe is composed of stripes and checks in red/bullrush or black/bullrush. Design stops five rows before base. One filler of connected diamonds in red/bullrush. Tumpline has a blue zigzag line on green ground. Colour: tan.
