The shaft is plain. The base of the shaft, near the pointed end, is wrapped with cane fibre. The point is plain dark wood that has an inflected long hardwood point with minute barbs.
Plain, straight wooden flute with six rectangular finger holes on the top surface--which is flattened--and one hole underneath. The mouthpiece has a vibrating reed.
Circular woven basket with a flat bottom, straight, vertical sides and a flat lid that is attached to the basket with ties on one side--two loops to be tied together with string are on the opposite side of the lid and top of the basket. Three concentric circles of black, red, and gold enameled willow ring the lid, while three similar bands encircle the sides of the basket.
