Tan, black, and red basketry cradle of interlocking coiled work (bifurcated stitches). Parallel slat base construction with single cross-stitch support and no extra rim. Decorated with beading and imbrication (partial). Top slat has four beaded rows (2:1), staggered, in cat-tail grass. Body has three similar rows at the head with a "butterfly pattern". Vertical zig-zag pattern over the rest of the basket.
Red and tan basket (part a) with a lid (part b) in interlocking coiled work (bifurcated stitches). Parallel slat base construction. Flange on the basket body (part a). Lid (part b) with a splint around the edge. Basket (part a) has handles and is decorated with both beading and imbrication. Sides of the basket (part a) have partial imbrication with vertical panels in black cherry bark and canary grass (two different patterns of pyramid and half-pyramid form). Lid (part b)is beaded (3:1), and rows alternate in black-dyed cherry bark and in canary grass (sides of lid are in continuation with sides of basket). Has skin ties.
Plain twined weaving with middle section partially twisted twined work, and 1 row of twisted twined work where warp splints bend up to form sides. Base - weft strands in inside centre are green later alternating with plain colour on the outside, giving a sunburst effect. Near the outer edge orange strands are plaited in between the warp strands of every other row. Sides - "meander" pattern alternating orange and plain on brown flanking a stepped design in yellow and brown on grey.
Base - mixed twined weave (alternation of plain twined weaving and wicker weave). Sides - 3 sections of plain twined weaving then a section of cross-warp twined weaving (repeated 4 times); design is embroidered. The 3 plain twined rows are embroidered with parallelograms in yellow and orange. The top and bottom rows are slanted in the same direction while the center row is slanted the other way.

Every other slat has four rows of beading in a stepped design four stitches wide, with two vertical lines per side. The ends have two vertical lines of beading (over two stitches) every other slat. Colour: light tan with red patterning.

Each side towards the head end, has four red stripes (2 stitches wide, 3 rows high). Each side has seven black stripes (1 row wide, 4 high) at the foot end. The top end has six black stripes and the tail end has two red modified stripes. There are also thin skin straps attached near the four corners of the cradle as handles.
